Why do Some gangs have soft a** names

I know this might be a stupid question and might not get a good response.

But some of these names are soft as hell nobody off of the name alone would be scared.

Bloods Ex: Be-Bopp watts ( might think they're dancers), Lime Hood ( ain't picking no fruits), Kabbage patch c'mon now, Squiggly lane,Summit street ( what they hold meetings there)

Crips Ex: Sex symbols(Sounds like a rock band) , Kitchen crip ( Servin up chicken and gravy), Hickery street ( sounds like a marinating sauce), Perverts ( no comment).

There are others im not trying to diss but you would think they would come up with some better names, harder names.

u gotta admit..some gangs do have some funny names...like Peaceful Varrio Norwalk.....and Friends 13.....but i guess they make up for it with violence...usaully they have that name for a certain reason....

In New York (the mid 1800's) there were Irish gangs with some pretty interesting names. The Pug-Uglies, Shirt Tails, Dead Rabbits, and the 40 Thieves are just a few.

Be Bop Watts, from what ive been told, got its name because of the JAZZ scene on Central Ave back in the days.

Central Ave was center of black life in L.A and had Jazz clubs were all up and down the strip.
