LOL! OK I won't! Sorry about that.
My old neighbourhood of terraced houses behind the old football stadium, with the petrochemical factories in the distance. The houses are still here but the stadium has been demolished and relocated.

I'm not going to waste my time copying and pasting everything so I'll give my comments directly.
Chini - I like the murals on the walls. Is that common? And that picture of the big house on the hill makes me think they are doing some sort of "king of the hill" mentality.
NW10 - Those pictures are a lot better at showing what you are talking about. Why are the alleys so small?

woah Chini that house was tight but i bet you dont get anything like that in Compton lol. The elite houses i posted are about the best it gets in my home town with the most expensive homes in town costing £250-300,000 and the cheapest going for £10-20,000. Althought it is one of the 10 most deprived towns in Britain.
Dr Funky those alleys are small cos the homes were built before cars were common or even invented? (1850's housing, dunno when cars came about). Also the homes had to be built as tight and close together as possible to house all the working class near their workplace. They couldnt afford to commute from the suburbs so needed to be close to work as possible.
i.e. Corrus Steel Plant employs something like 4000 people and thats just one factory but it would have employed more in the past before deindustrialisation occurred.
People still live close to factories now though, its why we have so many health problems. The houses on these pics arent the terraced ones though
Housing in the west of town close to petrochemical factories

Housing in the east of town near petrochemical factories and an iron plant to the north

L.A. is really into murals, and we have a lotta artists in Echo, so we have a lot of murals. I just wish the taggers would get a clue, and work on their lettering/artwork so it doesn't look so scratchy.Dr Funky wrote:

Second, that house is some kind of historic monument. No kidding on king of the hill, and check out the bathroom:
you can even see Ajax on the step LOL ... I guess even the wealthy use Ajax.
did you decide if you were moving out to L.A., Funky? we can find you more million dollar houses near the gangs LOL ...
