IFG is one of those few hoods that can actually trace their history directly back to The Chain Gang

Thus pre-dating both the Crips and Bloods

Did u ever read the history of The Family in allhood issue 6?

It has both your hood history IFG … red side

and history of THE LOTT 13 on the Sureño blue side

Swamp hood in Compton is one of the oldest black sets in LA too. They go back to the late 1950s before it was Crip & Blood, and then in the resurgence the new gen. continued the name.

Wasn't Compton majority white in the 1950s?

Compton was 90 percent white in the 1950s, small mexican community on the north side, one black resident, but things changed in the 1960s, and after the 65 watts riots, the whites left.

Those are all good selections, the 60s are more like 1975

MARTINEZ wrote:so The Jungle Boys are not the orignal Black P Stones in L.A.?

i always assumed the Jungles was BPS HeadQuater's from day one ...

did T Rodgers ever do a stretch/torcido?

dont BPS have the biggest territory of Blood hood in L.A.?

.........

i believe Queen Anne Park is part of Mid City Stoners hood,

Yeah I used to always think Jungles was where BPS started. That's where I first heard of BPS when I used to hang out at Jim Gilliam Park as a kid.
But as Alonso says, they were the Jungle Boys who became BPS. Fascinating info.

I originally thought the City Stones area was really just Rollin' 20s since their hoods are right next to each other, and the BPS hitups were just to show alliance/solidarity with the Jungles. It all makes sense.

MiChuhSuh wrote:This is Pasadena but has anyone else heard of Pepper Street Boys/Gang? Someone from Pasadena told me that was one of the oldest gangs from way back, and that at one point Jackie Robinson ran with them but dropped it after he started playing baseball.

What’s crazy is they in the mid 2000’s a bunch of youngsters started claiming Pepper St In Pasadena it was like a mixed tagging crew kind of deep. They got cliqued up with another tagging crew tho and became West Side Pasa 13
