How exactly does a gang just die off?
No family to continue. Are there a lot of these " dead " gangs

some gangs lose the ability or motivation to recruit.....sometime theres another gang in the area that for some reason seems more attractive than the gang one may live closer to.....maybe the most the active and influential members were killed or locked up.....maybe they were a bunch of dudes that got together to form a gang but when it was time to bang they didnt have what it took to hold their turf......maybe the ethnic make up of the neighborhood changed........theres alot of reasons it could happen

On this map i was lookin at it said rolling 90 NHC goes from manchester down to century and from van ness to western. So that would put jesse owens park in the lower part of their hood, and 92nd street right in the middle. Also this map has rolling 90s westcoast crip closer to the harbor freeway, and around manchester park. Same northern boundaries and width of turf except their south boundaries is only a couple streets past 92nd
