Oldest Blood / Piru Gangs sets in Los Angeles

One of the older blood gangs, Harvard Park Brims which were in the LA Brims in 1969. Also the Black P Stones in the City were out about 1969 / 1970.

In the 1950s and 60s they had all three of them, but are the current Outlaw Bloods a continuation of the Outlaws of the 1950s and 1960s? I believe that there was a break in gang activity at some point in the 1960s, then a new generation that was completely disconnected from the previous generation started the Outlaws, Pueblos and Bishops.

In fact if you watch the interview of Bobby Joe Lavender, he talks about fighting the Crips after his friend Skip was killed on Bandera in 1972 and the decided to band together and start a gang which suggests that the previous Bishops must of played out, and when he talks about deciding on a name, they most like heard storied of the Bishops and decided to go with that name. Therefore, that break in gang activity, means that the contemporary Bishops started in the early 1970s.

No, Sylvester Scott and Vincent Owens probably started Piru Street Boys in 1969 or 1970. They were born in 1954, so their age should also be a good indicator when that started so early 1960s would not be possible because they would have been 7 or 8 years old.

Grandees and Pirus seemed to have had an ongoing conflict in Compton,since Mac Thomas was too bitter to even join up with them after Raymond Washington recruited the Pirus.

He moved to Compton in 1969 and had peoples on Piru st... Got into a altercation with the Compton Crips over his homeboy... Said he wasn't Crip nomore.. and the rest is history... It's more to it but I'm not spilling the whole history of my Fraternity on here... But yeah Luedars PARK and the Piru st Boys been clicked up since 1970
