Gang hood ground zeros & strongholds

Unread post by TheAngels » April 27th, 2018, 2:19 pm

List the ground zeros or "center" of different hoods...

Can be a park, a housing project, an intersection, a block, etc...

Examples:

Black P Stones: Jim Gilliam Park

School Yard Crips: 17th Street from Longwood to Rimpau, World On Wheels (except when R60s came through)

Sotel 13: Stoner Park

Grape Street Crips: Jordan Downs Housing Projects

Culver City Boys: Mar Vista Gardens

Also, often ground zeros change over time through generations... so mention the time period... for example, 69 East Coast Crips stronghold used to be the apartments 69th & Main for many years until the city evicted the tenants and then tore down the apartment. Or World On Wheels being a stronghold for SYC was more in the 80's & 90's... World on Wheels made a return last year and is now more upscale with less of a gang presence. OG Madd Ronald from Rollin 20's said ground zero in the 1970's was from Budlong & 27th St to Adams Blvd, but probably is no longer ground zero today...

as for hood no longer owning their ground zero ... tanas during gangster incarceration had thei mid town ground zero dry to the point a vatos clicc took over rose and wilson now they came back few years ago and are still occupying their old hood but many vatos are in their rose area 124 st and on their south their old willow st clicc turned varrio press their south and get along with cvloocs and paragons against tanas and flats ....cvtf ground zero oris and the trax no longer their ground zero tf is a varrio who had many ifferent spot all over cpt on both side of cranz and kinna have different era with ground zero goin with it the palmas 60's clicca would own oris and spots that are now largo then the dead end tf had poccet hood as grpund zero now the locos own that part of town ..the midget dukes ground zero would be under the bridge in rosecranz all their apartments on elm maple basicelly east 100 blocc from compton station to mullberry was tf ground zero during 80's than in the 90's they was alll over even gonzales parke was spot of their and ground zero for one of their clicc cressey 700
than from 90's to now magnolia watts apartment ancien palmer stronghold fell like willow st from tanas because they had a vatos named lalo who was a mexican palmer but he turned tf and brang the whole magnolia with him than the new generation created kak and magnolia was their ground zero ...i mean sooo many ....hoods

I saw the Street Gang interview with the Nuttys and they said one ground zero was over on Reeve Street behind those apartments overlooking Longfellow Elementary. They said they would be deep in there back in the day and had an awning covering the whole area -- possibly to hide from the ghetto bird.
