LA MIRADA LOCOS

Unread post by CUETLACHTLI » April 8th, 2007, 6:33 pm

Any foos from the west side of the buildings know when these foos came about. When I used to walk home from school I used to pass through all their hood.I used to read all the old hit ups on the cement. Most of them are 18 hit ups.Like from the 70s.The oldest LM hit up I have ever seen is from the 80s on LM ave. When my pops came here to the US after the civil war in Salvi, he lived in this area too.He used to kick it in the Family Arcade with some of the OG LMLs.Alot of his homies died in Burns St,history repeats itself. Some foo once told me they where a krew but I doubt that alot. There was also a little kid from there who used to say it was from the 30s, but we all used to laugh at him. Also, was the La Mirada Hustlers a click of LM or where they a seperate hood.I know of these clicks San Born Locos, Malditos, Bagos, and Gangster Locos. And I heard they had a Dead Ends click that was seperate from the one in LM City.Their enemies are MS, Crazys,Silver Lakes, BUDS,Temple St,ws TMC,White Fence,18st,Rockwood,KRLS,Head Hunters,Clanton,Diamond St,Echo Park,Osiri Boys,SUR 13 Hollywood Stoners,Armenian Power,Frog Town,Toonerville,IFTZ,Aztlan,Carnales,Crazy Riders and some more I forgot. They have blood ties to Atwater Locos, and Thee Raskals. They like brother hoods, probably why they beef it with TVR and FTR.

Yeah, I never heard of LMLs prior to the 80s, so its most definitely not from
the 1930s, but VLM Varrio La Mirada down in South East if real old. Don't
know what decade they came out, but there's no relationship between VLM
and LMLs, right?

They came about in the 80's as far as I remember. <a href="http://www.streetgangs.com/billboard/viewtopic.php?p=8648820">LMH is the click of blacks that were crips</a>, but still they were one gang...LML'S and LMH is the same. Boxer was a name that rang back then.

VLM and LMLS are different varrios. VLM has a DE clicka...VLM-DES 13.

This area was Eighteen st diablos hood in the 70s.The areas in between Vermont and Virgil , by where LACC is.It was either 18st or Clanton.Cuz C14st is right down clinton and Berendo know. You think the LMLs could have been a click of 18st that broke off or something? The LMLs really hate 18's.Or maybe these foos pushed 18 out.I heard these foos where real down back in the days.

That's bullsh*t, ECHO PARK is in fact older than 18ST, and besides that, 18ST ain't never been posted up in ExP.

Before the explosion of 18ST clikas everywhere, 18ST was pretty much around the Westlake/ MacArthur Park, Pico Union, West of downtown, Olympic, Alvarado, Grand View, Bonnie Brea, Pico, Arapahoe, Virgil but they were not even close to ExP. . .

Temple ST, Varrio Vista, Diamonds and Alpine ST were their immediate neighbors. So most definitely 18ST was no where near ExP neighborhood east of Sunset along the Avenue.

The MACY STREET Varrio was over east of La Plazita before you went over the river. Just south of the L.A. County Jail.

I was wondering 'cause that MACY ST Varrio is real old news, I'm talking about at least 3-4 decades since last heard about, so I was wondering where you been, or where you grew up in?

Hey Lonewolf, I'm curious about all the gangs that use to be around the China Town area such as Alpine Street, La Lomas, and Varrio Solitre Rifa. When I came to this forum I read that there were even more gangs that were around here called Bunker Hill Gang and others I forget. Can you shine some light on the history of some of those gangs since you are veteran from around the town?

There's been a lot of gangs in Downtown through the years. That area has the second oldest gang tradition after East Los/MaraVilla.

It was La Loma, Lomas is is in the SGV. Other early gangs - Palo Verde, Bishop, River Rats.

I never heard of "Varrio Solitre Rifa," where they supposed to have been?

Bunker Hill same thing, I've read it posted up in here someplace, other
than that ~~> I had never heard of it before.

LA LOMA was said to have been the first generation of the Chavez Ravine
community.

Varrio Alpine Rifa survived well into the 1970s, and then it went under.
Never quite understood why. There was not much pressure put on them
from any enemies. . VAR was an olden varrio from the 1940s if not earlier
and they were key participants in the events that sorrounded the Zoot-Suit
riots.

Then there was Barrio Palos Verdes & I beleive someone else mentioned
the Bishops. In the old-China Town further down by Union Station was the
Varrio Macy ST, and then of course you know about Dog Town down by
the river, and further north along the river was Barrio Buena Vista right
about where the Broadway bridge from China Town to Lincoln Heights is at.

I don't have any first hand knowledge of any of these old varrios (except DT)
all I got is mostly second hand info from what ever I can read up on.

VSR use to have a lil hood by the Burker King on sunset. They beef with OBS13 and OLBZ. I think their a pai sa gang, alot of people say they were. I heard they use to punk asian kids around China Town back then. Then OBS13 and OLBZ came along and started punking them lol(different occasions). They died out though.

Have you ever ran into the asian gangs that were in China Town back then?

There were no Asian gangs (street gangs) in China Town when I walked
those streets. VAR did have some Chinos though, but nothing big.
I sometimes run into vatos from other hoods up there, more often than
the locals. Vatos from 18ST lived up there too, and as you went further
east on Broadway and up over by College, and those lil' streets up there,
that's where we had some DT heads staying at. Over by Bellevue and
Boylston west of Sunset, there was a Varrio called LIL WEST SIDE "LWS"
I'm talking about the years between 76- 78/79. Right about the same time
that WSWxF was posted up in Echo Park where the Mayberry Crazys are
at by that Elementary School up by Glendale Blvd. Up over that hump on
Sunset between VAR & ExP, there were more than a few empty lots up
above the Sunset, and Diamond's would have those place all hit up. Their
placasos would remain un-crossed for the longest, on account that there
really was no real contenders in that stretch. Some of those DST tags have
been captured in several movies, and even that book wallbanging shows
one of those placasos. Anyways, enough for now.

When I really think about it, Clantone14st had some big ass territory way back in the 70's. For sure in the 80's they were up and down Santa Monica Blvd to Melrose Ave...I'm saying Santa Monica/Western to Melrose/Vermont. Active on Kingsley Drive, Heliotrope, Normandie...all up around that whole LACC area.

Now I remember WS WF having Santa Monica/Normandie area for quite a bit of time, as well as Hollywood/Western area of East Hollywood. MS came in way later on Santa Monica/Western to create the HLS click (they went to Leconte Jr High).

LMLS, I can't say who started them, but they definitely came up in the 80's.

C14ST is definitely one of Hollywoods oldest barrios. And where there was a C14...there was an 18streeter. 18street clickas blew the fuck up back then too. 3rd/Catalina/Normandie...Shatto Park Locos...Hollywood Gangsters off Yucca.

This area is real weird man. There is alot of old foos from 18 C14 and RW in the area.On the cement there is alot of 18st taggings on Burns st and the surrounding area.If your from this area you know whats up with Burns St.On Virgil by the car wash and the Taxi Building there is alot of Rockwood graff on the cement.A older cat from the area told Rockwood had a click around where the Mcdonalds is know like by Juanita,I think its true cuz Ive seen some old RW hit ups scribed in my ol apartment building, and old placasos all faded away on the sidewalk. There is alot of Rockwoods on Virgil that area that are low key, cuz the LMs are all up and down this area. And another thing was Crazys always on Normal St right next to Burns St.How could the LMs let CYS so close to their turf.Cuz you see some CYS Normal st locos placasos on Virgil every once in a while.Ive been told the Miraderos aint like they used to be.Alot of real hardcore foos where getting locked up and killed during my time living there. And alot of expensive condos being built right smack in their varrio.Alot of those hipster faggits invading the area. They already lost Bellvue Park to the BUDS.

I used to wonder why LMLs had so much beef with HHS.This was before the death of a well liked and respected LM.Everyone knew who did it.What I didnt understand was why they hated eachother so much when HHS was pretty far away.Until I saw HHS slash out WF and some foo told me they had a Hollywood click.Dosent seem like its there now.

And the thing about the Carnales.I heard they were tight with WF, did they share turfs or did CXL have its own turf?

La Mirada Locos is one of the gangs on the new "most wanted" gang list that Bratton put out. They're one of 11 gangs on the list. I have no idea why they're on the list. They seem like a minor gang. Barely on the map, basically.

LMLS Makes no noise. I lived on Marathon for a minute and they they were never out. Silverlake 13, La Mirada Locos and Clantone 14 are three hoods you see on the walls over there, but not out... ever. Maybe C14, but its rare.

C14 is real small know. The C14 clicka on Clinton st is the Dukes, I think. They are real small nowadays.Silver Lake is gonna be History in a few years. They lost a grip of terreno to development, and those damn hipsters.LML is around, then it goes low key, cuz of beef with neighborhoods and the pigs. They got alot of beef for such a small Neighborhood. They were viciouse back in the day, from what many people have told me.Most of the noise happends on Burns, Lockwood and Willowbrook.
