anyone got a history on witmer street? seems like a pretty old varrio, but with the injunction and etc, they dying out? anyone have history on them, their beefs, their rep, etc etc. thanks.

i think gentrification of the area is pushing them out. The Medici apartments took some of their turf.

Was the Witmer St. neighborhood in that same area as where Staples Center is now?

I think that took out a big chunk of their hood, they still blast tags around the Loyola law school area which seems to be their hood.

Other hoods around that area are rock wood, 18 red shield click, Burlington street locos, and 42 lil criminals

Witmer is west of the 110

Staples center is where 42 lil criminals used to be. I think as recently as like 2010 42LC still had that apartment across from LA live on Georgia street.

I figured they aren that old because wasn’t their neighborhood all or mostly Clanton at one time? Talking about as late as the 70’s.

I know Clanton was mostly south of Olympic in what is now 18th Street, but they had territory north of Olympic in what is now
Witmer and Rockwood hoods.
