Armenians are staunch supporters of Assad, because they are the christian minority in syria.
His facebook page is linked in the article and he is being called the turk-slaughterer and poses with grenades and all that, lol.

Armenians are majority Christian and are one of the oldest ancient Christian communities. Their country is surrounded by Muslim dominant countries. A little history, Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as its official religion. An interesting history there.
