Do the sureno gangs drive-by each other nowadays?

Do the sureno gangs drive-by each other nowadays? Because the EME impossed a rule about drive by's between sureno gangs prohibiting them.

I have readed that few gangs broke the rule, so they paid a fine to the EME.

Originally it was agreed upon by the Carnales back in the 90s that any perpetrator would be murdered, but they have eased off on it. The initial reason for them stopping the drive bys was to cast a shadow over their real intentions. In the eyes of the community, it gave them a good image by stopping the drive bys. Their real intention was to infiltrate the gangs and plant representatives in each of the gangs that attended their summits in order to collect "kitty" or taxes. "Sana" Ojeda, the Carnal who was key in brokering the agreements between Sureño gangs in OC, began to tax gangs instead of marking them for death. A bit hypocritical isn't it?

i knew a guy that was involved in a shooting in Pasadena, and they were trying to say that he and his turf, Varrio Pasadena Rifa, were going to be green lit for doing a drive by, but the shooter was trying to explain, that the car was stopped, the door was opened, with one foot on the ground, therefore it was not a drive by, but it turned out that the entire issue was created by the Pasadena PD to get the actually shooter to admit to the shooting to an informant from his neighborhood that the Pasadena PD had convinced to wear a wire.

The police always come up with these schemes to try to get thee defendant to admit to the crime. If they cannot get them to confess to the police, they have former gang members that will work for the police and get them to admit to them. So this issue of drive-bys is still in effect, because this youngster was worried about being green lit (which was all a ruse) so he gives the older vato the entire play-by-play (who was really an informant) and boom, the police have the confession on tape.

All that to say, i do believe that the "no drive-by" edict is still in effect.

They are not suppose to. But every now and then you'll hear about them doing a drive by. If someone presses the issue on a gang doing a drive by then they will get greenlit by La Eme until they pay off a certain amount of money.
