Has anyone heard of this gang before? They were in between W. 40th Pl and S. Hoover St, there was a picture taken in South Central on 1993 with three members of this gang, it also said one of them was wounded in a drive by shooting by a rival gang but survived the attack.

Well, I found a little info about this gang on another post on here, apparently, an author by the name of Susan A. Phillips published a book by the name of "Wallbangin", and in this book she has a map of the gangs in south central from 1997, and a "Varrio 40th Street" is listed, their turf is on E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and S Central Ave? Well thats what Bigg Listo posted on here

In my part 2 interview with Curtis Smith, he mentions Varrio 40th Street as one of the Mexican gangs active when he was at Wadsworth Elementary school. He recalls them on 40th Street off San Pedro near 30s Piru area.

I just watched the interview, interesting how he said that 38th street wiped out varrio 40th street, Well at least we all now know what happened to this small hood. I was always intrigued to know what exactly happened, and it looks like their officially defunct.
