The Slausons aka Slauson Village - 1952

I am surprised no one mentioned one of the biggest black gang probably in Los Angeles history. Their turh was enormous and they are directly linked to the Black Panther Party that formed in LA in the late 1960s. They were founded in about 1952 according to most estimates and the first to have a hand sign. Prior to that I cant find any neighborhood that used hand signs. They became defunct after the Watts riots of 1965.

You should post a time line and boundries for the older black gangs i.e. sportsman park boys,gladiators,slausons etc. or at least what the older gangs evolved in to.
