18th Street near China Town

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

Back in the 1970s, there was a 18th Street varrio between Sunset and the 101 Freeway, they were right next to Varrio Alpine. Does anyone remember what click they were, and what happened to them?

That area became osiri boys/ angelino heights hood. Obs and maybe exp beefed with 18. Tst are their enemies too and not too far away just past echo park. Can't remember if dst beefed with em but wouldn't be surprised. Maybe they disappeared from being surrounded by too many enemies?

Belmont high was the local high school for many enemies hoods back then.

Once in a blue blue BLUE moon there's an 18 on the wall. Just thought they were just passing through.

In the hot spot of Everett st there was an 18 we considered from OLB though he passed away. He was a respectable homeboy who took care of people there. Only dude from 18 on that block and was active. His two younger brothers are from OLB.

actually alonso that triangle area where you have the 18st was LWS LITTLE WEST SIDE in the 1970s, and DIAMOND was all over all the way up to sunset and then alpine on the north side, the 18 streeters that i knew lived up there where in actual alpine's neighborhood and not that triangle area, i know cause i had a ruca that lived up there and i also knew gente from 18 street, but there were only a few of them and just a couple of them were the crazy ones making noise but that was it, it wasnt like it became a hood or a clique or anything like that, at least thats how i remember it
