Sportsman Park Boys (1964 - 1972)
The Sportsman Park Boys occupied an area from Century (south) to about 89th Street (north) in about the same area where the Rollin 90s Crips are now. More on the Sportsman Park Boys, watch interview of Homer Harrisosn ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhUu4eINv70 ) or of Judson Bacot ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhE9CkDi3u0 ).
Today SportsMan Park is now Jesse Owens Park.

there was no transition from Sportsman Park Boys to 90 Crips. None of the Sportsman Park Boys became 90 Crips. Even though there are rumors that some transitioned. None of the first generation 90 Crips were ever a member of the Sportsman Park Boys.bgcasper wrote:very interresting so bad didnt hear about their transition from spb to 90 gangster

OG Cadillac from 9-0 said that Cody Brown, Kerry Brown, Chainey (sp?), Owen Ferguson, and Marcus Baker were founders of 90s and they used to be Sportsman Park Boys.

According to Homer Harrison, Cody Brown was NEVER a Sportsman Park Boys. Who said that? How old is he? Was he around the Sportsman park Boys? Homer Harrison is 65 years old, born in 1953. We have 2 more parts with Homer Harrison.HNIC wrote:OG Cadillac from 9-0 said that Cody Brown, Kerry Brown, Chainey (sp?), Owen Ferguson, and Marcus Baker were founders of 90s and they used to be Sportsman Park Boys.alexalonso wrote:there was no transition from Sportsman Park Boys to 90 Crips. That's what he said, but yes Cadillac is much younger than Homer... can't wait to see the rest of Homer's interview

Re: Sportsman Park Boys (1964 - 1972)
Cody Brown was friends with Homer's little sister. They were in the same age range. In part 1, Homer said that the Sportsman Park Boys were all in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades at Manhattan PLace Elementary in 1964 and that there was only that generation of membership. So that cover 10, 11 and 12 year olds so in 1971 when the Crips on the Westside were organizing, the Sportsman Park boys were 17, 18, and 19 years old led by Allen Ennis.
