Venton Avenue Hustlers

Many neighborhoods can not maintain themselves with the level of competition. They may get pulled into other neighborhoods or they just fade out. Only discuss those areas from LOS ANGELES that are gone.

Venton Avenue Hustlers was a West Los Angeles hustler crew that was off of Venton Avenue and Venice.

What do you mean what was the turf for the Venton Avenue Hustlers? As you know, that's part of the Palms area, and at that time, no gang officially claimed the Palms. The Palms was just an "unincorporated" area so to speak, not claimed by any gang. A couple of loose crews here and there, selling their drugs, that is before Philly Mac got killed and we Blast3n Fools Gangsta Crips took it over.

I vaguely remember Vinton Ave Hustlers, what years were they active? Did they become Blastin Fools or is that a whole different unrelated group?

I’m surprised no Hispanic gang ever claimed Palms. I saw someone on Instagram say there used to be a “Palms 13”, but other people in the comments from the area said they never heard of it.

I saw Hispanics in that area west of Overland in Palms (just north of Venice Blvd). And they weren’t yuppies or hipsters either.

You might be talking about the Westside LocosK 13, or the EWF taggers. If they're claiming Palms 13, it's gotta be the WslsK because they are the only mexicans who clam sureno over there, even though they've never outright claimed the Palms. They've always shared a varrio with the Helms 13's closer to Hamilton High school back in the 1980's and 90's, but they've been in the Palms as we have too.

But you say you saw hispanics west of Overland, just north of Venice blvd, I don't know who that is, but as I mentioned in my previous reply, that might be some mexicans we're not getting along with, but we're coo with the EWF's. When I attended Palms Jr. High back in 1990-91, there were some taggers over there that used to hang out on those streets behind Palms Jr. High, I think they were from CBS and I remember a small group of 18's used to be over there, but they left the area not long after that.

No, we are two different groups. The Vinton Ave Hustlers were somewhat affiliated with the By Yoself Hustler Crips (BYSHC) who are originally from the Crescent Heights area of West L.A.

He was, but when he hung out in the Palms, he claimed Vinton Ave Hustlers. They were his "money making crew".
