Charles "C.C" Ticer, A 52 Hoover Gangster Crip gang member was shot and killed on June 22, 1988, Ticer was with several men who apparently were tagging over another gang's graffiti on an apartment house wall in the 800 block of west 42nd place, according to the Los Angeles police department, at about 9:30pm, several people drove by in a red car, shouting gang slogans, shot at the men tagging on the wall, Ticer was shot in the head and died instantly.

Larry Alonzo "Bam" Winters, One of the leaders of the Los Angeles 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, was shot and killed on February 9, 1990, by a 9-millimeter round fired from a passing Cadillac. Authorities said that a fingerprint check and a records search through the Los Angeles police gang computer determined that the dead man was Winters, police said Winters was the chief suspect in the 1988 Halloween night killings of a rival gang member and the wounding of four others in south central, los angeles. "What goes around, comes around.", Los Angeles police detective Erin Brown said of Winter's death.
