Douglas F. Dollarhide, first Black mayor (Compton) (1923-2008)
Douglas F. Dollarhide was elected mayor of Compton in 1969. Douglas Dollarhide (March 11, 1923 – June 28, 2008) was an American politician, notable for serving as the first black mayor of a major California city.

I'm sure Mr. Dollarhide meant well but after he took office, the crime and unemployment rate skyrocketed. I'm sure white flight had a lot to do with that as well.

Crime has nothing to do with a local mayor. Crime trends are State wide and nationwide so smearing this guys name with something that had nothing to do with him is pointless.
