Danny Santos (Piru / Blood) that did anti gang PSA killed in '88

Danny Santos did an anti-gang PSA for the Right Way Youth foundation back in '88. He was killed two weeks after the interview in a drive by shooting. He died in his grandfathers arms. He didn't live to see the PSA air.

A couple of other bloods were featured in the PSA & shared their regret in getting involved in gangs.

Does anyone know what set he was from?

Could his name be Dannon Santos. I found an LA Times article. He was killed on 121st Street and Avalon Boulevard which is by Miller Gangster Bloods and Athens Park Bloods.

Just two days after he was released from a hospital for wounds suffered in a gang-related drive-by shooting, a South Los Angeles teen-ager was shot again--and killed.

Dannon Santos, 15, died at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood after being shot in the back Thursday evening while walking with friends across a vacant lot at the corner of 121st Street and Avalon Boulevard.

Sheriff's deputies said another teen-ager rode by on a bicycle and shouted a gang name at Dannon, who ran but tripped and fell in the street. The attacker then pulled a revolver from his pants pocket, firing several shots, one of which hit him in the back. The gunman fled on his bicycle.

Deputies said they had no evidence that Dannon was a gang member.

His full name is Dannon James Santos, Born Nov. 7, 1972 - Died on July 14, 1988 at the age of 15. He would be 45 years old this year.
