Travis Lewis of Compton sent to deathrow in 2010

A Compton gang member, Travis Lewis, according to police records, committed two separate killings just 2 months apart, 1) killed one man he mistook as a gang rival and 2) shot to death another man who interrupted the robbery of a taco truck in 2008. Travis has been on Death row since 2010.

He was convicted for the April 3, 2008, slaying of Eder Pineda-Hernandez 21, was shot eight times while standing in front of his apartment building in the 14800 block of South Atlantic Avenue after being mistaken for a rival gang member, according to Deputy
District Attorney Kevin Stennis. Two month later, according to police he was involved in the June 15, 2008, killing of Roberto Benitez.

According to documents Travis was living at 121 N Burris Ave in Compton,CA.
