He was from Compton, but he made his name after he moved to Inglewood and became one of the founders of Inglewood Family back in the early 1970s.

Jan Brewer is in Corcoran.. life sentence.

From my understanding he was in prison when the IFG was founded. He quickly made a name for himself and his name is legendary.

We hope to have his complete story and autobiography in the upcoming issue on the inglewood Family's..

I heard he was a Smak in 1970, and Inglewood Family didn't start until after the Smaks became defunct.. the Smaks turned crips... but I haven't heard JB's side of the story yet to confirm this...

In 1970 he was 13 years old.. but he hasn't yet acknowledged that nor denied it..

Other sources close to him says he was roll dawgs with Michael Concepcion before the West Side Crips were founded in 1971.

So between 71 & 73 we know for a fact he was hanging in Inglewood and joined IF in 73'

thats about the same time that the Chain gang got played out. I think some of the Chain gang members became IF members

Ken Bell told streetgangs.com in an interview that he remembers Jan Brewer coming up in a Crip neighborhood before moving to Inglewood.
