i like Delinquent Habits, they aren't wak like most chicano rap. They have strong mexican flavor and know how to get the mariachi flavor mixed with hiphop.

I think for the most part, the esse rappers that I've heard have no real talent. They are about 15 years behind on the talent scale compared to other rappers. The only ones that I ever heard that were consistantly tight are gone ( I think ). Psyco Realm. They were like a click of cyprus hill, they had skills for days. Also, What ever happened to the group The Mexicans? I think they only had one album. One guy rapped mostly in spanish and the other in mostly english. They had lyrics like a mf'er. I still don't think there's many rappers out that can see the one that rapped in english. But both of these groups only had one album and then disappeared. As for the crap they play on Power 106 on their chicano rap show, 99% of that stuff is garbage. Not even up to the quality of Kid Frost in 1990, and that wasn't very good.
On a side note, what ever happened to those homo's Lighter Shade of Brown? They were some hood hoppers. They grew up in Santa Ana, went ot Valley highschool, then made an album ans started claiming riverside.

The kind of Latino rap I like is a nice easy groove and a couple fire spitting ese's putting it down rightously over it. Em just can't compare with that no matter how fast he wags his lips he still sounds like a child. Just an opinion.

I'm not putting down latinos here. I'm putting down the majority of their rap. To me, they are just like a lot of these southern rappers tight now like lil john and the eastside boys, TI, Chingy, bruce banner, etc. They all have the same problem. It's their lyrics. Their rhymes are overly simple and they don't talk about anything. I got a homie from the hood that's an esse. He runs with blacks, but he obviously grew up with this stuff, and every time I'm in his ride I gotta listen to it, and it's torture. They can't rap to save their life and they have no business touching a mic. They use weak rhymes, and they usually use beats that have been used before, a lot of it is just completely reusing someone else's song and just changing the words. My mom raps better than most of these guys, and that goes for the southerners too. It's not a racial thing it's a talent thing. Like I said, there have been a few mexican rappers that were actually tight, but FOR THE MOST PART, the mexican rappers out right now should never have been alolowed to make an album. Their lyrics would have been considered cheesy back in 1988. THey make Eazy E look like a Lyrical genius.

Got 'South Side Clicka vol. 2' and 'Orange County's most Wanted'. SSC2 is one of the best compilations I've got, but OCMW is a bit of a letdown. Infact it'sreally boring.

I forgot one. There was another mexican group that was kinda tight back in 92 maybe? It was called Street Mentality. They were from Pico. Same thing, 1 album and never heard from again.
