NBA 2014-2015 Season

Unread post by Coup » October 9th, 2014, 5:00 pm

A lot of changes in the East....West pretty much stayed the same. Not sure who will win it all this year but my tops no particular order are:

West
OKC
Clippers
Blazers
SA/Dallas - Can't choose between the two
Lakers - Hometown pick

East
Bulls
Wizards
Cavs
Heat

The West is always going to be more competitive since so many teams are even. OKC stands out as the possible favorite this year. Clips and Blazers if healthy will do damage.

Oklahoma is in trouble, Kevin Durant is hurt, and it's a serious injury. I still don't see anyone out there beating the Spurs. Cleveland won't get out of the east. Too early, even with love, no chemistry. Same as with Miami, a year or two away, and they need a bench.

^^ Dallas, Clippers, or Portland could. Dallas and Clippers have the coaching and players to do it. Spurs are just a playoff built team. Give them home court and then you are done. New champs this year though....Spurs not repeating unless a bunch of injuries happen. Durant injury hurts OKC.

Right now the Clippers are in the 4th or 5th spot, was expecting them to be better, and OKC is in the 8th spot, What happened.

Injuries hurt OKC a lot. Clippers will get better with Griffin back...but they will need to gel before the playoffs. The west is wide open but my original post stands (no lakers) with the exception of the Heat in the east. I have no belief in the Hawks, but their home court will help against some of the others east teams.

Saw that ass whoopin Spurs put on OKC last night....not surprised after losing that game to Dallas. OKC could still get the 8th spot and will get blasted by GS if they do. Durant is out and Ibaka doesn't look like he is coming back this year either. If both were healthy, nobody would want to play them.

I don't think that we can consider the latter, after what happened last night. The Deandre Jordan slam fest! Isn't Dwight Howard possibly out the next game due to suspension. If so, the series will be over.

Give me Spurs vs. Clippers

James Harden is trash, glad he's being exposed.

Hardin and others on that team got mad talent, but they are weak as a team, so so soft.

The Houston Rockets went on a tremendous run against the LA Clippers without James Hardin. Jason Terry, Josh Smith doing it without Hardin.

Clippers choked......they ran out of gas and tried to use the clock instead of attacking. The fact that they do not run detailed plays at the end of games is what kills them.

There is no favorite left imo....Cleveland and GS have weaknesses that can be exposed. I would have liked to see Clips v. GS and Cleveland vs. Wizards. Not sure if any of those will happen now.

I look foward to Game 7 betweeen Clippers & Rockets. In Houston, the Clippers have a challenge. If Clippers loose it will be because Blake Griffin choked in the game somewhere. If he is on fire, they win big.

Looking forward for what??? Clippers lost that series in game 6.

Should be interesting to see if Houston's bigs show up against GS. That is their only shot. Howard, Smith and their big boys have to get active in the paint.

Cavs should mop Hawks in 5. Hawks are a good team, but they have nobody that can guard or even give Lebron a challenge. Kyrie being hurt is their only shot at giving Cavs problems and he may not be that "hurt".

That was an ugly first quarter. Never count the Warriors out though. Something tells me Golden state is in for a fight on this one.

Yeah, the series may go 6 or 7, but with Howard supposedly hurt, we know what happens next. Harden is going to cool down and GS will start to run these dudes. Game 1 was good though.

GS should win the series but it may go 6. Rockets had that game and GS is not able to put them away. Thompson has his hands full with Harden....he is not getting off either.

GS definitely has their hands full but they somehow keep on winning! I am pretty sure that Houston will win one or two of these games though. I don't see how they cant especially with the series moving to Houston for the next two games. I will say this though, if we win tomorrow night it is over for there ass! I am far more scared of the Cavaliers and Lebron! He is a tank and almost impossible to stop! Harden is good though, he definitely will give GS some fits before this is all over and done with!

Even after last night, series will most likely be over tomorrow. Damn, Curry took that header though. Trying to confirm, but word is Howard might get that foul upgraded and be out for game 5.

Hey they did that! I got to take my hat off to them! Curry's skinny little ass cracks me up! He put full effort forward and paid the price! That had to hurt is all I got to say. Next one is ours. They just let them get a lead on em early. My advice, keep it simple. You don't always got to hit 3's. Just get points on the board and most of all relax!

Houston Rockets have more talent, but Golden State played like a team. To me that is a couching problem. I dont know why Hardin had 11 or 12 turnovers, ridiculous. They just choked, they have the talent to be in the finals, but may they play weak sometimes.

What do you guys think about Golden State vs Cleveland? I think it should be a good series. I could see this one going 7 games.

Most are picking GS, especially with Kyrie not at 100%. Cavs size and inside game will affect GS. I hope Thompson is okay....

I hope Thompson gets cleared by Thursday myself. This should be an interesting series! Lebron is a bulldozer of a man. Curry is small in stature but probably the most skilled player! In the end I think the Warriors Defense and ability to hit 3's will carry them to victory. At least that's what I am hoping for! Deladelova is a dirty player. I can see him doing something foul in this series!

No one was picking Golden State as a contender early in the season. Why were they overlooked?

Small team who wins with 3-point shooting is never a favorite....all the pros say the same thing...live by the 3 die by the 3. Green, Barnes and maybe Iguodala attack the rim but that team is all about the splash brothers. You notice how Memphis played them. Consistent big man play, perimeter defense and decent jump shooters will cause these guys problems
