I think he saw a video where I think I mentioned that some of the Mexican neighborhoods have been the aggressor, and the Black neighborhoods have been responding back. But it is more complicated than that and I wasnt taking sides in the interview.

Alonso's not part Mexican. He's black Puerto Rican. Caribean Black Latinos usually go with blacks out here. That's been my experience anyway.

i disagree. afro-caribbean to me is still black. Once you come to the states you start to assimilate the culture. My wife is from panama and is dark as me. She doesnt speak spanish anymore, but would be considered african american by anyone that didnt know her.

He would be more accepted by the african american community over the hispanic community here in so cal. I read an article in the time about Black mexican and how they are discriminated against in mexico. So i doubt your opinion.

when you speak Spanish among west coast latinos, you are accepted no matter what your color was. I have heard of blacks from central america call blacks in LA mahates. There is discrimination against black americans, but if you are black latino, you get a pass. thats my experience.
