Check out this article about a gang members from East LA that shot and killed a Whittier Police officer on Monday Feb. 20, 2017. The officer name is Keith Boyer and the alleged gang member is from East LA, accused of another homicide and was shot in the exchange with the two Whittier police officers. Boyer's partner Patrick Hazel was shot too, but is in stable condition.

They said his name was Michael Mejia....with the pictures they've posted of him, it looks like he's from Winter Gardens.
