Life is fragile, one day you're here, the next day you could be gone, that is why we should all appreciate our own lives, and who you are, death doesn't care who you are, when its your time to go, then its time, kobe accomplished alot within his lifetime, and passed at such a young age, i'm sure if he could relive it all, he would, rest in peace to an L.A Lakers legend, aswell as his daughter and the others who passed on, I hope they are all at peace.

Seems like the crash could have been avoidable.
1) It was cloudy that whole day, atleast it was in Orange County.
2 They flew into unsafe weather conditions, the fog in the valley area toward Kobe’s destination was thick.

It seems that the pilot had a hard time seeing due to the thick fog, cloudy sky, and no sunlight.

Interesting from flight records the helicopter circled around Glendale. While they were circling the pilot was probably telling Kobe about the fog up ahead. If the fog was unsafe to fly through they would have had to land at the Van Nuys Airport and Kobe would have had to drive the rest of the way to Thousand Oaks.

Knowing Kobe’s mentality he most likely told the pilot they could beat the fog and continue on. They overestimated the power of Mother Nature. It’s a tragedy.

Yeah, from what i've read, it looks like it was really foggy that morning, they were travelling fast in kobe's helicopter, and by the time the pilot could react it was too late, they ran into a cliff/mountain and were all killed instantly. The pilot had worked for kobe for years, I believe they just happened to fly in bad weather condition aka too much morning fog.
