With the close of 2009 quickly approaching, rap artist Flo Rida ends the year on a high note. His #1 single "Low" has sold over 5 million copies digitally, which makes it the most downloaded song of the decade. His 2009 single "Right Round" is #11 on the "top digital songs" list, and is the fastest selling digital debut of all time, having had over 600,000 downloads within it's first week of release.
"Low" which features T-Pain, is the most downloaded song in music history, and is certified 5x platinum by the RIAA. It was the first single off of his debut album Mail On Sunday, and also received a heavy push from being a feature song on the Step Up 2 The Streets soundtrack.
Born in Carol City, Florida, Flo got his start in rap while touring with 2 Live Crew. After dropping out of college to pursue his music career, he began to run with the likes of Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, Trina and T-Pain. He gained popularity and worldwide recognition with the success of his single "Low" which according to Billboard, took the #1 place on the Hot 100 chart, and remained there for 10 weeks. "Low" was followed up by the singles "Elevator" which featured Timbaland, and the infectious anthem"In The Ayer" which featured will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas.
