Best Rapper from 1979-1985

I want to know who you think was the best rapper during this era. When I sat best rapper I dont mean best rap song, but the actual best rapper. I also dont mean the most records sold, just the best rapper. This is an oldschool era

Has any one ever heard of T La Rock?

Kool Mo Dee was the best lyricist of the time.

If you can find some tracks by the Fearless 4 around 1980 - 1982, they was one of the best. Anyone know "Rockin In"?

Kool Moe Dee was a great rapper. The whole Treacherous Three was very skilled and upped the bar for routines

Spoonie Gee was a favorite from this era

My vote goes to Rammelzee

He had a dope style that was effortless it was a little mushmouthed but he was a lot more fluid and less choppy than a lot of other old school cats
This fool is on some other shit these days. He came up with some shit called Gothic Futurism or some shit. Check him tripping out in a crazy outfit right here circa 2006. "It was our competition, called the burner, that made those letters SO BAD... SO DOPE... SO ILLUMINATING... THEM BASTIDS ACTUALLY ENDED UP WITH WINGS"
