50 million Germans in America

That's right. There are 50 million Americans of German ancestry, which doesn't really make sense to me unless America let in a hell of alot of people from Germany during World War 1 and 2, since the English were the first Europeans that came to America, if not the biggest group that did, and I know there are alot of Irish Americans but who the fuck would've though they surpassed the English in terms of numbers as well???

Germans have been immigrating to the US since before the revolutionary war. They're definately a major group in the US. At least half the white people I know are German or mixed German ancestry. You rarely meet a pure English-American.

What I mean is, are they involved in crime--whether it be banging or organized?! Chicago does have [a few] white gangs--like the Gaylords, SCR, etc.

The Germans have organized crime, but they're more Americanized overall in terms of doing business --- they're legitimate, no, they make the laws since they run their part of the world.

As for German OC and banging, some German kids might bang, but I can't believe that German street gangs would exist. Same goes with OC, it's a possibility and there are some German mobsters probably in Chicago, but I don't belive they would have a seperate group.

English is actually thought to be the most common european american ancestry,its just not widely reported.

In the US 1980 Census,English American was the most reported ancestry at about 50million.

Anyone would of thought that number would have largely increased rather than halved,its probably due to about 20million people in the south of british descent that put down "American" and another further 80million who put down 'Other".
