If you want to get more information on this subject try reading the book Tough Jews by Rich Cohen. This website has some info on Jews in modern organized crime http://www.theunjustmedia.com. If you research and read a little on the internet you begin to see that Jews have also played a big part in pornography and bookmaking over several decades. An example would be the Robert Deniro character in Casino. Ace Rothstein was named Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal in real life and he was a great sports handicapper and professional gambler who was hand picked by the Chicago mob to oversee the skim in their Las Vegas casinos.

The entire movie was based on a true story with bits and pieces changed to enhance parts of the story line. Joe Pesci's character was a brutal enforcer named Tony " The Ant " Spilotro who was suspected of killing as many as 22 people.http://gangstersinc.tripod.com/Spilotro.html. He works today as an odds setter for a casino in Florida.
