Well his actions really seem hypocritical. We'll see if he calls for protesting radio stations, demands that radio station directors be fired as Imus was, that we do not purchase music by gangster rappers like 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. Do you think he will do it.

Of course he won't. Some how because it's the entertainment buisness it's some how oblivious to those sort of things. Likewise with the word ni**a, that hasn't stopped yet and likely won't any time soon. If these leaders do put forth an effort to stop this sort of language by all parties then great, but like it's been said before trying to silence someones statements won't change their mindset and they will still find ways to display their stupidity.

It's a trip how people be so quick to speak negatively about what someone else is trying to do before they even see the results. I give whoever credit for even getting the THOUGHT of going up against this beast in the music industry. Many of our people are afraid to even attempt to do what sharpton has done....

Another question, whats the difference from what this imus character said and what has been allowed on your site?

if there are cameras rolling al will be there. you have to give him credit for saying he wants a change. but why did imus have to say "hoes" before he did this? i mean if he was really about this, wouldn't he have taken steps to prevet anything like the imus situation from happening in the first place? i guarantee you effort to stop these words in hip hop will be far less than his effort to take down imus. rappers have been using this language for 20 years, and it takes an old racist white guy to ignite his fight on the business? either he's joking about it, or using the imus excuse to not loose as much credit in the hip hop community.

and in all honesty, banning these words from hip hop is taking away from their freedom to rap. if your going to ban anything ban the "n-bomb" and words dealing with race or ethnicity. but if you put restrictions on "bitches, hoes, gats, blood, ect." your basically taking everything away from rappers. imagine the next G-Unit CD with lyrics "this stupid jerk, i'm gonna go punch him in the face, he's a big jerk, i'm gonna go and kick him". do you guys honesty think its right to tell these people "you can't say this", when they've been doing it for 20 years.
