I've been throughout the chiapas state in mexico and the mexicans are not white as chalk. They are mestizo leaning more towards native. I think you've seen too many LA chicanos.

In most cases, the further south of Mexico you go, the darker the skin.

All the southern states of Mexico have dark skin Raza. (example: Michoacan, Guerrero, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, etc etc)

You also have Mexican states that have mostly "Hueros" like Sinaloa, Sonora, and part of Jalisco --> Mexicanas with green eyes and they are gorgeous !!!

But I love all my Mexican women, morenos and hueras.....
