Firefighter Grazed By Bullet On New Year's Eve
Jan 2, 2007

A dangerous New Year's Eve tradition in Baltimore lands a Baltimore City firefighter in the hospital.

It happened near Patterson Park after people fired gun shots into the air to ring in the new year. One of those bullets came down, into an open window, and grazed a firefighter in the back of the head.

Luckily the bullet did not break the skin, but a department spokesman says it was still too close for comfort.

Right now the firefighter is off duty recovering.
