Nepal, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Thailand are 4 countries that were NEVER colonized by the European empires. Vietnam was a French colony, Korea a Japanese colony. There are many tribes in Northern India that were never colonized as well.

In fact, Nepal famous for its Gurkha soldiers whom the British labeled "bravest of the brave" for their ferocity and bravery in battles challenged the British at the height of their power. I don't know so much about Bhutan, but Afghanistan is unconquerable and they have these fighting men called Pasthoos, Uzbeks, Hazaras etc, and Thais... they're probably the best standup fighters p4p.
