Carl Froch stops Taylor

Postby SOUFLONDON » April 27th, 2009, 2:11 pm

I gotta say, Froch was kinda lucky. He is better than that and shoulda knocked Taylor out way earlier insteasd of leaving it to the last 30 secs of the entire fight. Taylor shoulda taken his chance in the third and finished dude off.
But saying that he shoulda satyed his ass as middleweight instead of moving up a division or two. what do they say? don't start fights with grown folks!

Other than Frochs, chin and heart, I was not impressed with him at all. With Taylor's better boxing skill's and experience, I thought Taylor was going to have an easy night but he got caught and I have to give Froch credit for hanging tuff.

Think Taylor too small for Super Mids. Thought he had promise when he bamboozled Hopkins, but he seems to have no end product.
I think Froch needs to chane his style or he gonna get found out, like barrera did to hamed, and prettyboy to hatton.
his heart and chin are precisely why his last 2 fights been exciting.
he tried to call out Calzaghe at the end. But i think even now, Calzaghe would out punch/work him, not give him space to fight and beat him up badly, without knocking him out tho.
Calzaghe called Froch his personal stalker and not on his level.

Taylor too small for the super middleweight's......yup. I wasn't impressed with JT's, victories over Hopkins either. If Froch would have fought Calzaghe, Joe would have won by a shut out / unanimous decision. At the end of the fight Froch would look pretty banged up.

On the subject of super middleweights, what do you think of the outcome of Lucian Bute vs Librado Andrade ?

never heard of them guys there.

aw man, was that ref related to dude ?
that was the longest 10 count i ever seen.
ref weren't even counting, he turned round 20 secs later hollering "9, 10"
didn't think he'd get caught like that tho.
virtually no time in the fight left. who won anyway?

Because of the referees long count, Lucian Bute (the fighter that was on queer street) won. Librado Andrade, was getting a boxing lesson for the majority of the fight but hurt the champion(Bute) in the last round. That referee cost Andrade the super middleweight title.

damn, thats fucked. guess he wont be giving Andrade a rematch anytime soon. They both got heart tho, especially Andrade (from what u said - 12 twelves of eating fist)
That ref musta bet his life savings on Bute. He prob on some caribbean island somewhere now, prob bought the island with his winnings!

Side stepping once again, what u think about Haye - Klitchko ?
Can see them scraping Hayes body off the floor. Dont think he strong enough naturally, and holds his hands low like Froch.
Klitchko to plod thru Hayes lightweight defence

I think it was at the Froch/Taylor fight that Bute was in the audience and one of the announcers was commenting on how Bute was not happy how he kept his title. Bute wants to actually fight Andrade again to prove he is a true champion, rare huh ? If they fight again, I give Bute a lot of respect.
For a while now I haven't been too interested in the heavyweight division, but I think Klitcho will take it.

heard that forch may fight hopkins. If he fights hopkins, hopkins can outbox him judging for froch's unorthodox style.

it'll be the most boring fight of 2009. Hopkins is far too old to be knocking anyone out or causing a sensation. he just a spoiler, at this time in his career.
He dont come to have a tear up, just jab and avoid getting knocked out.
I dont really like Froch, but if they fight, i hope he knocks out Hopkins.
We need some excitement in that weight division

I don't know....when Hopkins fought Pavlik, he looked pretty sharp. Even though their fight went the distance, I thought it was an exciting boxing match to watch. Hopkins did a real number on the younger, stronger, Pavlik.
