Magic Johnson part owner of Dodgers

Magic does not know much about coaching or managing a franchise. He has tried to coach the Lakers in 1996 and that was a disaster.

Yes, Magic was an awful coach, but he was an exceptional player and has been equally impressive in the business world. I'm fairly certain that Magic will put the right people in place. I think one thing he has already done is some excitement and positive energy to the club. I think that Magic's role will be more of the face of the financial group he purchased it with, and he will sit back and count his paper. Everybody loves Magic, and I've heard that the tickets have already been selling out!
