The Lakers 07/08 team

The current Lakers are looking the best since Shaq left the team. I believe that they can make it out the first round of the playoffs this year. Bynum is looking better, and Kobe is playing with the team, and they are playing better defense, and Fisher with Farmer are a great 1-2 punch in the point guard position.

Getting rid of Parker and Cook was a great move and Chris Mims is getting some minutes. The team looks good.

Agree.

The Lakers can beat any team in the west in a playoff series except maybe the Spurs..

Fisher gives them a lot more than S. Parker gave them and Bynum is far better than Mihms and Kwame Brown combined..

Our bench is MUCH deeper and this is where we will have an advantage over just about every team in the league (Ranked 4th) come playoff time because the Lakers always had one of the worse benches (26,27,28)

Kobe finally has somebody other than Shaq to give the ball too and Bynum finishes well..

As good as the lAKERS look, they are still inconsistent and methological (spellcheck) at times cause Phil Jackson refuses to call time out until a 15-0+ run...

Bynum is a beast... and may be the best center in the league in a couple years..

Kobe is the one that wanted to trade bynum away for Jermaine O'Neal...

The Lakers are looking real good right now, this is a very exciting team.. i just hope they can keep it up.

The Lakers are probably one player away from being one of the best teams in the league. Since they are looking good offensively, but if they had a defensive stopper, it would be lights out. The Lakers are allowing 101 points a game. The Spurs 91, Boston, 87, and Detroit allows 90.

All a stopper needs to do is to shut down on 4 shots, 8 points, and the Lakers need a Bruce Bowen type guy, but if they can get that 101 points down to at least 95, they can see themselves in the Western Conference Finals this year or next year.

With Pau Gasol in the middle, he should be able to alter alot of shots bringing the Lakers opposition point count drop a 3 or 4 point per game. with that, they will get out of the first round of the playoffs, but what if they meet up with the Sun and Shaq?

I agree with the last two post.

I think we roll over San Antonio now with the addition of Pau Gasol, that was an excellent pick-up. Same goes for Phoenix. The only good thing is Shaq always gets hurt. And Bynum will irritate Shaq, hopefully Shaq will throw a lot of Elbows and foul out or get thrown out.

It will be interesting in the West now. But we definitely will get out of the first round, we're going to be a top 4 seed.
