Nuestra Familia aka the NF

There are many that believe California's Prison Rehabilitation System and other systems around the world have more sinister purpose outside of incarceration. Discuss prison topics here in California, throughout the United States and Internationally.

I'm thinking... was it the Dreamer involve/affiliation with NF General "Brown Bob" hit in Campbell?

I have been looking more into the NF... in the early days it wasn't really about North/South but about City vs. Rural geography. I remember seeing Dreamer/BadBoy at one time...

I didn't know for sure that NF conducted a lot of business in San Jo up until the Feds bust when down. I also wondering if NF still recruits in SoCal? (Old news... but anyways... I though I'd correct myself a little bit & get specific on Roosevelt Park: it's on the North end of East Santa Clara St. between 19St & 21St on the East end of downtown.

I doubt the N, still recruits from the S.. Maybe people in Bakers still get recruited, & that is kind of considered So Cal. Yes Roosevelt park is on the E. end of DT, so I think that's why they claim ES.

Actually... Baskersfield is in Central California, the Southern end of Central California to be specific. to the old Northern Heads Baskersfield will always be Norte, like Salinas is consider 408 to the older Northern Heads. Sur has been putting the line for many years, so I doubt Norte pushs any weight there anymore? but I really don't know. (on a side note: Coyote Creek split the NS of downtown & the ES of downtown which mades Roosevelt Park technically on the ES of downtown.)

Anyone know about Pachuco Town? or any other info on San Jo?
San Jo has changed alot, back in the days you coulden't go anywhere w/ out running into real ass Northenos......the East Side was were every body and their Mamma wanted to be from.Horseshoe on the West Side was of the hook....fools posted up at Horseshoe park smoking KJ.....all the Crip gangs are gone as well along w/ the only real Blood gang that was around in San Jose.........only broder bros that act like Sur and a gang of Hip-Hop Hyphy Northenos are left while the rest of the the city is nothing but Asians.........San Jo has gotten soft....and gang of the homie has moved out to Modesto/Sac/Stockton/Fresno/Los Banos.....
Second that, everyone wanted to be from the ES. VHS was at one time consider the downest gang in San Jo, circa:80's. Surenos gave them a run for money, meaning Varrio in the 90's from what I heard. Yeah... San Jose has gotten to expensive to make end meet, people going elsewhere.

Yes Bakers is like Central/South, but Norte. Salas is still 408, to who ever wants to claim it. Some say 40831, just like some people 41510. Where are you asking if Norte pushes weight still. I knew Roosevelt is DT/ES, but thanks for the info.

Jupebox is pretty much on point. the San Jose area really doesn't breed the environment for the La Viva Loca anymore. There's some major factors for this, although I'm pretty sure there are the few that still bang not just claim. pistolslanga, I think they act like that because they're just a bunch of wanabees with no schooling or sense of what they're doing and they can get away with it & think it's cool. let some real Gangsters come at them, you know what would happen  most of them would not think of banging if it was 10+ years ago.

I really doubt San Jo had any Varrios not Barrios in the 60's aside from a few Homies kicking back. Most Chicanos in San Jo were in the ES up until something in the 60's. The oldest Barrio in San Jo that I know of a Cesar Chavez's own "Sa Si Puedes" I heard through the grapevine from an old timer that they tried to be Pachucos out here but never really cut it compare to the LA Pachucos. A neighborhood Norteno verified that VNH is dufunct.

Varrio or barrio, is basically the same word. Was this eNe from VNH? I was recently locked up with some 1 from VNH, so I don't know why he would rep VNH if it was defunct. So how old are you J? I think I met a J, from NSSJ.

Barrio= A neighborhood where Mexican/Latino People reside in but can also be a name for a Latino Gang. Varrio=Chicano Gang. I'm sure the VNH Homies will claim their neighborhood as any other real Gangster would but the gang is inactive at least around their orginial neighborhood. Check it out: back it mid 90's when the Crack/Drug business was hot in NSSJ/Downtown San Jo, Brothas would come from the EPA-SF/Oakland area etc... to sell drugs-rock up and down 1st to 10th. Some SoCal Crips were trying to jock for position in NSSJ for doing drug business and guess what... it was VNH neighborhood. Them Crips did a drive-by with assault rifle (I don't know the full details) the Homies was there. I personality grown-up with him for a short time, but I stayed away from around gangs until my mid-late teen. VNH hangout was Baskesto Park & more toward Downtown where to drive-by happened. I'm in 20's + VNS is the oldest Downtown/NSSJ Varrio that I know of, they merged with VNH sometime around early-mid 90's I've not seem any striking or VNH Homies actively banging for some years or many Nortenos for that matter...

I've not been up to SF for sometime. Man, I can remember them SF fools talking a lot of mess on San Jo cruising nights. although Rap/Hip-Hop has changed a lot of so-called Nortenos today under +-25 years of age. do they still trip on San Jo Gangsters in SF these days?

Let's take a stroll down memory lane in Downtown-NorthSide San Jose: Do you remember Taco Bell on 6th and Santa Clara? the Brothas hanging around the Liquor Store/Winchell's Donuts on 4th-5th and Santa Clara? let's go back further, I can remember when what's now consider North San Jose were Cherry Orchards and fields, Downtown (though a little before my time Hookers and Pimps on 1st, you may of heard the joke: Your mom works on 1st St.) and St. James Park were ran down with Winos and the Mission/Shelter was on going in NSSJ with the Guardian Angels on the stroll, there was no Hi-tech Companies and Alviso wasn't San Jose. There use be a kind of big Water Fountain on 3rd and Paseo De San Antonio. The most Northern Residential part of San Jose into the 80's not including the Orchard Farms and Fields was the Gish/Rosemary neighborhood. Man...

Yeah, Nortenos are way more united than Surenos and usually cool with each other. Now that I think about it wasn't Nortenos it was just some SF fools I didn't get specific. I guess the "United Nation of Nortenos" speaks for it self.

Are we friends again? lucky for you, I'm usually a pretty level headed dude. I really don't know much about them, I think they're called Barrio Tamilee Gangsters? they are somewhere around SE San Jo, according to my cousin who was banging SUR for a quick second in the late 90's.

Anyone who knew anything about gangs in San Jo in the 90's heard of Poco Way, their varrio was cleaned up by a gang injunction, I think in the late 90's. they had to hold their ground firm because they caught a lot of heat from Nortenos and cops.

Meadowfair was ESH old stomping ground. I do know that's an ES neighborhood, but I don't know about the Meadowfair gangs these days if there's any.

There use be a kind of big Water Fountain on 3rd and Paseo De San Antonio. The most Northern Residential part of San Jose into the 80's not including the Orchard Farms and Fields was the Gish/Rosemary neighborhood. Man...
Let me make some small corrections, Alviso was annexed to San Jose in 68' but you'd not know it because of how the city neglected it. the Rosemary neighborhood is officially called "Rosemary Gardens" I through in the /Gish because it's the main street known there.

The city was trying to kick out the Gente out from their Tropicana shops but they stood firm so the city didn't succeed, I'm pretty sure you'll see a Sureno there every now and then. I've not been to the Berryessa Flea Market for sometime but yeah, there are Surenos there. as far as Palmas, I asumming they are doing what Nortenos do, I don't know anything what they are doing these days.
