MORE THAN HALF OF THOSE NAMES ARE JEWISH, SO WHY THE KEEP CALLIN IT RUSSIAN MAFIA WHEN ONLY ONE GROUP OF EX SOVIET STATE IS WITH THEM THE REST OF MOSTLY RUSSIAN JEWS. JUST THE NEW YORK JEWISH NEIGHBOURHOOD CALLED BRIGHTON BEACH BEING THEIR US HEADQUARTERS SAYS IT ALL .

I read somewhere that russians make up the largest immigration group in israel. Mabye theres a connection. The article also stated that the russian children were being assimilated so some may have jewish names but there blood might be russian.

not realy.. its true that russian make largest immigrant group in israel but there are also many russians that are not jewish in israel this because that if russian marrys russian jew they can immigrate to israel and because of a law that says that even if a person has only 1 jewish grandparent they can immigrate to israel. so many non-jewish russians immigrate to israel.

only 5 are jews and there is almost no differance betweeen russian and jewish russian.
brighton beach has high precent of non jewish russian.
