Some pretty interesting stuff..
In the first article, the Heroin market in Bulgaria, which is controlled by the Bulgarian mafia, is worth about 55 million to 135 million leva a day, and 1 Bulgarian leva is equal to 80 American cents.
This means, if the average amount of Heroin is 100 million leva a day, that's 80 million dollars a day, or nearly 30 billion dollars a year. Those are some pretty big numbers when you only count Heroin for the Bulgarian mafia. Imagine what they can get with other activties combined...

If this number is equally divided, if the Bulgarian mafia has 10,000 members, each member would make 3 million dollars a year. If it has 5,000 members, each makes 6 million dollars a year. That's alot of money... Damn!flame_guards_member1 wrote:Some pretty interesting stuff..

Re: THE BULGARIAN MAFIA
A lot of those guys above certainly look the part.
The Bulgarians are one of many Eastern European groups that fall under Eurasian organized crime, often mistaken as part of the Russian mob.

CHEERS, WE'RE COMING TO RIP YOU OV
PEOPLE INVESTIGATION REVEALED: Bulgarian mafia bringing heroin, hookers & guns 45,000 crooks on their way here Joining EU's great say gangsters I will get so rich, boasts vice girl
Daniel Jones In Sofia
MAFIA mobsters in Bulgaria are plotting to flood Britain with heroin, prostitutes and guns when they join the EU in January.
The ruthless hoods are set to infiltrate the UK under the cover of tens of thousands of work-hungry Bulgarians who will flock to these shores legally.
A team of People investigators spent a week in the gangster-plagued East European nation where contract killings are rife and restaurants in the capital Sofia have signs saying: "No guns permitted."

We had no trouble setting up a phoney prostitution-smuggling deal with one swarthy mobster called Sveto who is reputedly linked to Bulgaria's murderous equivalent of the Kray twins.
As he clinked vodka glasses with our undercover man he bragged: "We can't wait for Bulgaria to join the EU. It is good for people like us. We know we will make a lot of money."
We also spoke to depairing Bulgarian corruption-busters and worried British and Euro crime fighters who all admitted: "The problem's heading here."
Following yesterday's call by Britain's business leaders to curb the expected flood of migrants, we can reveal the Bulgarian mafia will:
BRING a terrifying new wave of gun crime from a nation which has seen 150 gangland assassinations in five years -none of them solved.
FLOOD Britain's cities with tens of millions of pounds worth of dirt-cheap heroin.
BRIBE their customs officials to turn a blind eye.
TRAFFICK thousands of hookers to the UK to make massive profits for vice bosses.
PEDDLE counterfeit money, fake documents and goods.
SMUGGLE across thousands of pregnant women to give birth in NHS hospitals and SELL the babies.
One of our investigators posed as a bent businessman linked to vice in London.
He made contact with up-and-coming hoodlum Sveto, who is said to be a trusted lieutenant of Bulgaria's notorious Marinov brothers - currently in jail accused of three contract killings.
Sveto is clever enough not to carry a gun - but at the start of a cafe rendezvous with our man he pointed to a nearby car containing two heavies who guard him.
He said: "We know Britain is a lucrative market. I will be coming there myself. We have plans there."
The pimp offered to provide four girls and said he would take a cut from their earnings.
He added: "I can get you good girls. They will be no trouble."
With a large tumbler of vodka, he toasted Bulgaria's entry to the EU and later sent two petite brunettes for our investigator to "sample". One calling herself Crystal, who spoke good English, offered an hour's sex for 140 Bulgarian Lev - just under £50. She said: "Why would I not want to come to England?
"The men are stupid. They pay big money. We can make a fortune."
Afresh wave of gangster-controlled prostitutes arriving in Britain is not the only worry.
EU bosses have agonised over letting Bulgaria - dubbed the Wild East because it is so lawless - and neighbouring Romania join because of their feeble record in halting
HEROIN smuggling, MONEY laundering and FORGERY.
A leaked Home Office report has revealed that 45,000 "undesirable migrants" - that's polite jargon for criminals -could exploit Britain's open-door policy to EU workers.
Bulgaria's mobsters -formed from an alliance of ormer Communist secret service agents as the ains and Communist, era weight-lifters and wrestlers as the muscle-ol Europe's main heroin route from Turkey.
And they are prepared to use any means to enforce that control. Once Bulgaria is in the EU they will be using those ruthless techniques in Britain's cities as they battle to control the heroin trade here.
An EU report says: "The frequent killings of people linked to organised crime groups seldom give rise to successful investigations and prosecutions and continue to represent a challenge to the rule of law in Bulgaria."
A major problem for British law enforcement agencies trying to stem any new tide of crime is widespread corruption in Bulgaria.
Bent border control officers let in Russian and Serbian gangsters who will be able to breeze into Britain from January 1 by simply flashing a fake passport. Visas and strict background checks will no longer be required.
And senior Bulgarian investigators are reported to take huge bungs to halt cases if any gangster is charged.
Vice organiser Sveto's reputed bosses the Marinov brothers have been named repeatedly as prominent underworld figures but have never been convicted.
Shaking his head as he sat in the country's parliament, one senior Bulgarian MP battling the problem told us: "Corruption is everywhere."
Atanas Atanasov, former head of Bulgaria's national security service, said: "The problem is that corruption and organised crime is all inter-linked. The government is corrupt and it sets a bad example to ordinary people. They think if the officials are dishonest, why should I be honest?"
He reeled off lists of scandals that sum up the way Bulgarians do business and helps the Mafia to flourish.
Last month he uncovered a Bulgarian government inquiry which officials had tried to bury.
It showed at least £5 million in bribes has been pocketed by border officials in less than two years.
Atanas said: "With that amount of money, it is not just a few officers taking a few Levs. It goes right to the top."
Commander David Johnston of the London Metropolitan Police has been working with the Bulgarian police for two years to try to sort out the mess. But he said gloomily: "The mafia is operational in Bulgaria and eventually we will see these people over here."
And Sveto and his bosses are typical of the fearsome criminals heading our way, according to EU investigator Klaus Jansen.
He warned: "The problems of Bulgaria will soon become those of Europe including Britain.
"Right now Bulgaria is like the Wild East. In restaurants in Sofia there are signs saying 'No guns permitted'.
"Once the Bulgarians set up communities abroad the Mafia will come with them...and their Mafia is really brutal."
