You know what, I hope theres nothing activve in Cuba. I don't know the reality one bit cos I'm a million miles from Cuba and don't know any Cubans. But it goes like this for me - with all of their faults, the Cuban Revolution was a beautiful thing, ridding the country of American Imperialism, casino's and mafis influence, ridding the country of those who wanted to drain and exploit Cubans. Its been hard for Cuba all these years, still living with economic emargos and the likes - but this is a country with deep history and great dignity, I hope theres no gang life. Why? 'cos gangs are REACTIONARY - they form as a reaction to an intolerable situation. Gangs are never REVOLUTIONARY - groups forming to bring about real and positive change. If Cuba can retain its spirit through these hard decades and keep hold of a revolutionary spirit, gangs couldn't take hold. Sad if they do, lets us know that the revolution is over there if thats the case.

Dude are you crazy? You're actually for the so-called "revolution"? Why don't you go live there then and see what it's like under a communist government? You live in the UK so you have no clue what it's like you shouldn't take your freedom and free agency for granted homeskillet. I agree with you on getting rid of corruption and stuff like that but that's a tottally different thing homie. In Cuba there's no progression therefore no one is allowed to progress cuz the government oppresses everybody. That idiota in Venezuela [Chavez] is trying to do the same thing there. The people who are for that have no clue what they're getting into. Alot of us americans here take for granted our freedom the same freedom that lets us talk crap about our own government or protest or whatever.

Chavez did say he wanted to give oil to the poor of the US and donate money, in the face of Bush, basically saying f*ck Bush I'LL feed your poor, since your bitch ass is off on Vacation.

Peep this article right here:

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u ... 0901072853

Venezuela's Chavez slams Bush for cutting vacation after hurricane

Thu Sep 1, 3:49 AM ET

CARACAS (AFP) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez blasted US
President George W. Bush for waiting until after Hurricane Katrina hit the United States to end his vacation in Texas.

At the same time, Chavez, a leftist leader who frequently lashes out against Bush, expressed sympathy for the storm's victims and repeated his offer to send aid workers to the devastated southern US states. And Citgo, the US subsidiary of Venezuela's state-owned oil giant PDVSA, announced it would donate one million dollars to US aid organizations helping hurricane victims. "For four days there were warnings that (Katrina) was going to make a direct hit, and the king of vacations at his ranch only said 'you must flee.' He did not say how," Chavez said, charging that the United States had no evacuation plans. "It's the rancher mentality."

Hurricane Katrina made landfall in the US Gulf Coast Monday, thrashing the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and leaving hundreds dead. The White House announced Tuesday that Bush was cutting his nearly five-week vacation by two days. He surveyed the devastation from Air Force One Wednesday as he flew back to Washington.

Earlier, Venezuela's foreign ministry reiterated Chavez's offer to send fuel and humanitarian aid to the United States. However, US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said that he was "not aware of any such offers" of aid or oil from Venezuela.

The United States and Venezuela have had a testy relationship under Chavez, who Washington has branded a "negative force" in the region. The Venezuelan leader has accused the United States of wanting to assassinate him and has called Bush a "jerk."

Don't believe the smoke and mirrors homie... I lived in Venezuela so I know 1st hand how Chavez is... he's got his country divided and a civil war could pop off anytime. If you voted against him down there you might not have a job and if you stand up and talk against him or his government they can lock you up. I don't agree with everything that goes on here either but atleast I can voice my opinion and exercise my rights. You can say f.... anybody you want to here but go to Cuba or Vzla and say f*** your government and see what happens.

Chavez is a good man - raed those posts carefully and look at the links. Chavez is using his countries oil money to - get this- to benefit his own people and starting with the poor - thats healthcare, medicine, water and sanitation, education and more and more. He gotta stand up to Imperialism bravely and he's doing what Christ asked in the Lord's Prayer - "Thy Kingdom Come..." thats a place of community, justice, equality, dignity, having the necessary resources to thrive. In our papers last week there was an article about that right wing preacher PAt Robertson or something like that saying that the Bush G'ment should assasinate Chavez!!! Now thats whats happened to the gospel in the States, been hijacked by right wing crazies (just like Islam has been hijacked by militant crazies - all from the same crazy mould)

Look at Bush response to New Orleans - he lets us know he doen't give a damn about America's poor black communities, that they are expendable.

Chavez a good man? Tu ta loco! Go live in Venezuela and say that. He only gives to people who are chavistas... that's like Bush only giving benefits to republicans. You have no clue what you're talking about homie. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Are you venezolano? I didn't think so... Go live there and see what it's like. Besides all that... I never really liked Pat Robertson anyways... he's just another tv evangelist.

Chavez has done a lot of good things for the venezuelans. Especially for the poor people. Of course he still has a lot to do, but he's definetly on a right path. It's mostly the rich people of Venezuela who are complaining about Chavez.

I don't know gangs in Cuba, but there is a Cuban prison/ streetgang.
The Marielitos. They were introduced originally to the u.s. after the Mariel Boatlift incident of 1980.
They grew within the Federal Pen. system and spilled onto the streets. You don't hear much about them, but they're around.

Why are all these stupid ass non-venezolanos on Chavez's nuts anyway? You idiots have no real clue about what's going on down there just the b.s. you might read on the internet. Y'all talk all that BS cuz y'all don't live there. Yeah there are some good programs to help the poor but you should learn to see through the BS. Only the poorest of the poor like him cuz they get free shit. There's a bunch of idiots down there that think Chavez is their savior cuz he stands up to the "imperialist government" He uses so much b.s. rhetoric to trick his own people. I'll admit that there's a lot wrong with the government here in USA but atleast most of us can talk shit about it without getting locked up and becoming political prisioners. There's a lot of them locked up down there actually there's a lot of heavy stuff that Chavez has tried to hide from the international public... a lot of injustices to the people.

This cat made a response to Kverdugazo and I am now posting it for him, THIS IS ON BEHALF OF ANOTHER PERSON:

Historical fact:
September 24, 1963:

A coup d’état in the Dominican Republic removed president Juan Bosch. US Marines subsequently invaded the island in April 1965 to “establish order”. And the conservative Joaquin Belaguer assumed presidency in June 1966.

I don't appreciate Dominican, non-Boliviarianos making false judgments on a revolution in progress. These are the same guys that like U.S. corporations to come to their country set up baseball schools so young men can drop out of high school on some field dreams shit. You are not South American nor Native so mind your own business.
The Bolivarian Revolution is based on ideals of Soveriegnty, Identity, and Autonomy.
Third World on the Rise.
If you don't like it go live in Miami.

Just take a look on how many people Bush jr. alone has executed in USA and abroad, guilty or not, he don't mind. Bush is the biggest terrorist and a mass murderer alive today.

I know that Cuba and Venezuela aren't perfect (how they even could be after what USA has done and continues to do), but both countries has turned into much, much better after the socialist revolution. Like I already said, it's mostly the rich and wealthy people how complain about the political situation in Venezuela and Cuba.

I wish all the luck to the Bolivarian revolutionists!

Actually you are allowed to travel, why wouldn't you? It's the Americans that are not allowed to travel (to Cuba).

You're telling a whole different story than a Cuban friend of mine who I lived with in Iceland and still emailing with him. And I rather believe him as he's a Cuban and someone who I really know. Plus he's that old that he remembers the time before Castro, so he knows how it used to be. He said that before the US embargo Cuba was a paradise to live.

It's definetly a good thing to a common people that there's a socialist system in Cuba rather than a capitalist system (just draw a comparison between Cuba and the capitalist countries of Latin America and you'll see why). It's only that the US goverment (with Israel's support) holds the country in embargo which greatly damages the economy of Cuba.

Atleast here in USA you can progress on your own and be an entreprenuer and in other countries that aren't under socialism/communism. When I lived in Venezuela they said that Chavez was trying to make a law that if a person had more than 1 car the government had the right to take it away.... ese cabronazo es un loco! The government in Vzla stole the land and farm away from a family i know really well in Miami too. well I dn't see it that way and trust me I read books about Cuba from cubans living in the USA and they where wealthy cubans that benifited from the Mafia and US goverment, I've also read the cold 5,000 by James Ellroy and it said in there that Cuba before the Revolotion was a holliday Island for The Mafia.

But to be honist I think we should live cuba ect to it and the US goverment should lift the embargo thats the only thing that has kept cuba communist for so long

you could say its united the people raver than divied the people

Thats how much you know, the only people that are allowed to travel to other countries are the cubans who are on his side, and the states stoped allowing cubans from coming to the states because castro was bringing spies. HA! and you say what did cuba have? I can make you a list of things that castro took away.

1. liberty freedom of speech and expression (if a political prisoner is caught he is arrested and then executed).

2. castro took away the holidays like christmas the only day he celebrates as christmas is 26 of july, where he ordered to kill many innocent people which he then blamed on batista.

3. he took away houses, land, and any assets from people poor and rich and made himself owner.

4. he doesnt allow people to move foods from one province to another, if he catches them they will give them 20 years in prison or worse AND they take what ever they were moving.

5. he put obligatory military service for every one at 16 years old and after hes done using them he kills any one he doesnt want alive, like he did camilo cienfuegos who helped him in the so called "REVOLUTION" (ROBOLUTION).

the only thing castro gives to his people is a "libreta de alimentos" which only gives them a little bottle of cooking oil, 3 pounds of rice, 1 pound of sugar, small tube of tooth paste, a bar of soap a month, and some times they dont even give them mess, tell me lizard can you live off that for a month? this will be my last post on this topic here cause its obvious you dont know mess.

Oh man, did you read ANYTHING I wrote? I didn't say I've been a tourist in Cuba, didn't I? And I'm sure the distance won't keep you from talking about North Korea, for example, so why couldn't I speak about Cuba.

And why would you need more than a one car for yourself? Can't drive two cars at the same time, you know. And please stop writing in spanish, because I can't understand that. Sama asia kuin jos mä kirjottaisin koko ajan suomeksi, right. You wouldn't understand.

And what's up with that "idiot"? I don't agree what you say, so that makes me an idiot? I don't agree what you're saying so I guess that makes you an idiot, too.

I thought you just said that NO ONE is allowed to travel from Cuba?

You pretty much got your facts twisted up. USA allows any Cuban refugee to come to the States. Even well-known terrorists.

liberty freedom of speech and expression (if a political prisoner is caught he is arrested and then executed).
I agree that liberty of speech should be more free in Cuba, but political prisoners don't get executed automatically. That's just American propaganda. Nowadays it's very rare that anyone gets executed in Cuba. At this moment Cuba has 70 political prisoners, and 18 of them was recently released from prison or moved to prisons near their home. And he has also gave homes to many homeless people. There's lowest amount of homeless people in Cuba than anywhere in American continental (including USA & Canada). They even got a better health care in Cuba than in a rich USA even under the embargo.
castro took away the holidays like christmas the only day he celebrates as christmas is 26 of july, where he ordered to kill many innocent people which he then blamed on batista.
Please tell me more about this killing of innocent people because of christmas.
he put obligatory military service for every one at 16 years old and after hes done using them he kills any one he doesnt want alive, like he did camilo cienfuegos who helped him in the so called "REVOLUTION" (ROBOLUTION).

the only thing castro gives to his people is a "libreta de alimentos" which only gives them a little bottle of cooking oil, 3 pounds of rice, 1 pound of sugar, small tube of tooth paste, a bar of soap a month, and some times they dont even give them mess, tell me lizard can you live off that for a month? this will be my last post on this topic here cause its obvious you dont know mess.[/quote]

Funny how I think that it's you who don't know a mess. You just made up some stories and come here telling those as a fact. How do you explain the fact that there’s a very little of hunger in Cuba if there’s not enough food as you told? Even in USA there’s more people living in hunger than in Cuba, and USA is the world richest country!

And I want you all to remember that when you're speaking about Cuba, keep in mind how the other countries are doing in the Latin America. And especially keep in mind that Cuba has been in embargo nearly 40 years! And that Cuba is still a 3rd world country by judging their GNP. Still they manage to do better than any other 3rd world country that has a capitalist system. And that a huge majority of the Cubans honestly like Castro and their socialist system. That seems to be a tough thing to swallow especially in USA.

Cuba isn't perfect, but atleast it's a much, much better place now than it was in the Batista's hands. No one can disagree on that.

^^ For posts like this is exactly why I called u an idiot...Talk to any cuban living in the US or any political prisioner in Cuba and see if anything u have said makes any sense. look dude communism will never work anywhere nor at anytime. Castro even tricked his own people at first then he came out declaring communism.. I wish the US would invade Cuba and Venezuela and get rid of Castro and Chavez. Chavez is such a bullshitter I can't believe that he actually tries to threaten that if the US invades it will start a 100yr war or some bullshiz he always says. When I was in Vzla a lot of psycologists and people told me that the man is literally crazy.

Stunning.

I really think you should run for president. You just might be smarter than Bush.

You pretty much got your facts twisted up. USA allows any Cuban refugee to come to the States. Even well-known terrorists.

I SAID THEY ONLY LET CUBANS WHO ARE ON FIDELS SIDE TRAVEL TO ANY WHERE THEY WANT IF THEY WOULD LET ANY ONE COME TO THE STATES FIDEL WOULD BE THE ONLY ONLY ONE IN CUBA THOSE PEOPLE ARENT ALLOWED TO SPEAK WHAT THEY FEEL OF COURSE THEY ARE GONNA SAY THEY LIKE IT OVER THERE CAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF GETTING ARRESTED OR KILLED!

Cuba isn't perfect, but atleast it's a much, much better place now than it was in the Batista's hands. No one can disagree on that.

HOW IS IT BETTER NOW THEN IT WAS WITH BATISTA? WHEN BATISTA WAS RUNNING CUBA IT WAS JUST LIKE MIAMI YOU HAD THE LIBERTY TO DO ANY THING YEAH YOUR RIGHT THEIR WAS A LOT OF STUFF GOING ON WITH THE MAFIA BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN ITS OK TO TAKE OVER A COUNTRY AND MAKE IT INTO A DUMP FIDEL HASNT EVEN PUT IN ANY EFFORT TO FIX THE STREETS HE FUCKED UP WHEN THE REVOLUTION HAPPENED IF YOU EVER GOTO CUBA GOTO THE OTHER PROVINCES YOU WILL SEE HOW MESSED UP IT IS.

Please tell me more about this killing of innocent people because of christmas.

JULY 26TH, THAT DAY FIDEL ATTACKED BATISTAS MONCADA ARMY BARRACKS THEY KILLED A BUNCH OF CUBAN SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS
NOW THATS A TERRORIST, AND YOUR TRYING TO COMPARE HIM TO BUSH, YEAH LIKE EVERY ONE KNOWS YOU WOULDNT CALL USA THE MOST PERFECT COUNTRY BUT IF BUSH WERE TO KILL EVERY ONE WHO DISAGREE WITH HIM HHAHAHAHAHAA HALF THE COUNTRY WILL BE KILLED! AND ARE YOU SURE YOUR FRIEND FROM "ICELAND" WAS CUBAN ? CAUSE I DONT KNOW A LOT OF CUBANS WHO LIKE THE COLD WEATHER I STAY IN MIAMI WHERE THE CUBANS STAY AT YOU WANT THE TRUE STORY COME OVER HERE.
