Last Tuesday in Zamora, Michoacán , Victor Manuel Gil, Lieutenant Colonel assigned to 37 Battalion of Infantry, was ambushed by a group of gunmen.
The gunmen began to operate their firearms against the police command and a woman who accompanied him, leaving the two gunned down in the car he was driving the 42 years of age.
It was so after the two people massacred, the armed group managed to flee the scene in an unknown direction.
Authorities arrived at the subdivision streets San Joaquin and found the two executed inside a vehicle Mitsubishi in white, with license plates from Mexico City.
The woman executed was identified as Alejandra Ortega, 29 years old, who for some time belonged to the Police Municipal de Zamora. Some unofficial accounts noted that she was the wife of an element Transit same municipality.
Investigating officers were able to collect 125 caps in the double murder scene. The bodies were picked up by the Forensic Medical Service, and transferred to the amphitheater which was heavily guarded by personnel of the Mexican Army.
It's pretty shocking how police chiefs from municipal, state, federal and military coronels are commonly gunned down in Mexico, it has become the normal that it's not shocking anymore to the Mexican people.

It's a trip man, I don't know of anywhere else in the world where police and military officers are murdered so viciously and easily. I really think it's a matter of time before the U.S. has to go in to help Mexico.

A lot of municipal, state, federal and military police chiefs/colonel or lieutenants have been gunned down in Mexico, about 85 of them have been gunned down in 2010 alone.Quepolo3 wrote:People are talking about Libya, we better be looking next door. This is crazy.
