It was slick. Anyone else like it?

Great film. Michael Caine, Nigel Davenport and Ian Hendry at their best with a terrific score by Roy Budd. The only bomb in Mike Hodges filmography.

A date have been added to the title and it, obviously, refering to the remake by Stephen T.Kay with Sylvester Stallone. Well, this one is really a lousy piece of crap. Even Mickey Rourke couldn't save this one...

See the original movie instead or read the Ted Lewis novel which is a great hard-boiled piece.

I've seen them both. I liked them both. Guess I'm in the minority on this one.

I'm old school but in this case I liked the remake better. I thought the film was slick and exciting. Rourke played a believable bad guy. The whole film was over the top imo. So we have to disagree on this. :)
