he said,

"Nipsey's homeboys (60s) dont respect him, my homeboys (ETG) respect me..."

I know some real Rollin 60's and I dont think thats accurate

I never heard them say anything bad about Nipsey, if anything, quite the opposite.

but i will say this - i think lil Sodi's version of "Hard in the Paint" is one of, it not thee very best.

Lil Sodi is referring to conversations that have took place in the streets about the divide that occurred over there between Nipsey Hussle and Big U back in 2011 I assume.

I wrote a short piece about that 2 years ago. http://www.streetgangs.com/features/032111_arrest

I think Nipsey's brother had to pull a gun out and shoot in the air to end the drama, and since that incident, a divide appears to have been created. Things may be better over there now, but I think that's what Lil Sodi is referring to.

I read on YouTube that Big U & other OG 60s was mad @ Nip b/c the Hoovers in the video was dissing the NHs. They also said that Nip couldn't be in Compton w/ YG & the Hoovers in Compton while shooting the video. I watched the video & the portion that featured Nipsey was filmed in an entirely different location.

This is just hearsay from YouTube, they said 1 reason y Big U & Nip was fighting was b/c of the video. They said the older homies didn't like the dissing that the Hoovers was doing. Like u said though Zo "who knows"?!

it would be interrestinng to c population in both hood ...to me 60's are from an area were you have more papartment and two story bldg while etg hood look like suburn hood very flat and one story home all over so in term of density of population i would say 60's got more human living inside of their boundaries even if etg is bigg is quite less populated thats my opinion looking up on a google earth shit

same thing

from your very own personal perspective - how did he come across to you?

...

just my lil side comment -

its kinda hard to take all that he says at face value if he's constantly dissing his rivals on his raps

do you really judge ppl on their own merrit (being a man) or do you say fuck you, your a napp or we can never be cool.

which is it?

....

dont me wrong tho, i do like his flows and rap style

Money is a powerful incentive, but I too question whether you can put aside the differences and deaths because of it. The 83's and 60's have been at war 79. Based on Monster's statements in an interview he did on the documentary War Stories by Billy Wright, everything that he has done throughout his life has been for the destruction of the R60 crips. Being that Sodi's parents are from 83 and probably came up about the same time, I would think that they might feel the same. As someone said previously, Lil Sodi constantly disses the 60's and nipsey in his videos. When Banging on wax was made, those crips and bloods weren't warring sets. Could you imagine Lil Ke Ke loco from 30's, doing a record with someone from FTB or R20's, I don' t think so.

How many of these dudes are really active members though? Somebody on here pointed out awhile ago how 50 Cent was making a mockery of Crips/Bloods Pirus. He had artist and their so called big homies putting G-Unit over their hood that they grew up in.

$$$ and the fame will make them do anything it seems

I think it's cool Lil Sodi tryna hook up with Nipsy bc he he did say he's a man first. That's to be respected. He wants to make it big in this rap world so he's gotta make some moves in the right direction. He's thinking about his career and his future. If everyone thought like this then more ppl would make a better life for themselves. Living the gang life being an "active member" only takes you so far in life anyway. He said it in the interview. Obviously he learned some lessons along the way. I hope he continues to learn more lessons and really take it the the next level.
