Yeah i think the shooters were from a blood set, and maybe it was CMG because the set is mentioned pretty often. And I´m sure they were just some guys from the hood,no bangers .

So is it common in the hood for non-bangers to be strapped? Even today, when the drama is a bit less then the early 90's?

classic movie no doubt....I remember my grade 12 history teacher used to live in LA and he told us that when the movie hit the big screen they had metal detectors at the door and you couldnt wear any head gear, when was it released? I think like 91.

Yea the movie, we all know was and is a classic.
Every sane person hates that ignorant black cop.
He does remind you of the cop in the game GTA San Andreas.
And, that was a good one about Ricky old lady probably hating fish now.

I thought that both Boyz n the hood and Menace II Society was good.
When the black cop was getting at tre when he pulled him over i think that he was just fed up with the gansta life (probably personally) and assumed every black male was in a gang.
I can't believe that some people that Menace II Society sucked. That is one of my all time favorite gansta movies. I love that movie because if u really pay attention to the story line u'll get the full meaning. i think that movie was set out to help some people who were either going through the same thing or considering that route...so to me it was very good.

Did anyone ever notice in that scene on the Shaw,Moris Chestnut almost got his legs run over by Ice Cubes car when they all started runnin and Cube drove off?

That was real shit 2 because I seen Jhon Singelton on TV when the move 1st came out talkin bout that sene.He said that the acters didnt know that a gun was gunna get shot off because he wanted the scene 2 be realistic.
If his legs would have got run over Jhon would have been Sick about it. lol
Would have been a huge lawsuit over it probebly lol
If yall aint never noticed it look 4 it if u ever watch it again

No, but really, I heard it was somewhere in Inglewood. And I think the cruise strip scene was filmed near the Jungle (Baldwin Village)

Actually, I don't think that was in South Central, even though the movie wrote that on the screen, because I remember somebody saying that couldn't possibly be in South Central.

Do you remember that plane that was flying really low to the ground in that scene? That plane was just taking off of the landing strip, which means that it was filmed near an airport. Whever LAX is, that's the area that they filmed the opening scene in.

But I'm talking about the real life neighborhood.

Is the question about where the film took place?

Or is it where was the movie filmed?
