Gang members charged with kidnapping

KEYPORT — Two members of the Trenton-based Pagans motorcycle gang have been charged with kidnapping a borough man in October, police said Tuesday.

In addition, one of the gang members has been charged with assaulting and robbing a bar patron last month, and detectives continued to search for the suspect's brother who was involved in that assault, Detective Lt. Tom Mitchell said.

The first incident happened Oct. 23 when the two gang members, Donald C. Caggiano, 39, of Brick, and Dominick M. Gallucci, 44, of Franklin Township, met a man they knew at the Bulkhead Bar and Grill on West Front Street, according to police reports.

The three men then left the bar and got into a car. They drove out of the borough and then back into Keyport, where Gallucci and Caggiano began beating the other man before he could escape. Mitchell declined to identify the victim of the assault, but said all three men knew each other.

On Dec. 26, Gallucci and his brother, Marc Gallucci, 42, of South Amboy, assaulted a man inside a different West Front Street bar and took $130 from him, according to police reports.

On Friday, police found Caggiano leaving a Cliffwood Beach home and arrested him. On Monday, borough police, with help from South Amboy police, arrested Dominick Gallucci, Mitchell said.

Caggiano and Dominick Gallucci were each charged with kidnapping, stemming from the October incident. Gallucci was additionally charged with assault, robbery and conspiracy related to the Dec. 26 incident.

Police also charged Darlene Locorriere, 48, of Cliffwood, with conspiracy in the Dec. 26 robbery. She was arrested with Gallucci on Monday.

Police were continuing to look for Marc Gallucci late Tuesday, Mitchell said.

Caggiano's bail was set at $250,000, Dominick Gallucci's bail was set at $475,000 and Locorriere's bail was set at $100,000. All three remained at the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, on Tuesday, according to court records.

Keyport Detective Mark Hafner and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office investigated both cases.
