i dont know about that man.....the ones i use to see back in the days had the ben davis hella big with crease the belt with the letter on the buckle and pulled up to they chest...niggaz had the different color snake skin belts with the different color boxers (or just shorts lol) with the dickies saggin(jeans,cords and sweats)whith the embroidered hat and locs(at rancho high they outlawed the locs and hats cuzz everybody wrote they hood on they hat and the locs).you know whats funny is when niggaz started saggin they were still wearing tight clothes so the shit would be hangin off they ass but tight around the legs and you even had some busters who would be saggin and still floodin..lmao.....and everybody wore nike cortes...oh yah and chuks.....and crips wore bks......thats when you new for sure someone was bangin and it was all get stole on....jumped...or shot on sight.

Cholos never sagged until the 90's when some started changing up the traditional uniform, and from what I understand they also wore high socks because it wasn't cool to be showing skin in the joint, back then only the punks in prison sagged their pants to show their preference but I know this was changed. if you ask me, sagging is the Brothas style.

I never heard that about the socks. I always wore high socks, cuzz I've been doing that since I was a kid & that's what I am comfortable with. I've actually gotten used to 1's just a lil bit smaller than the knee highs. I know people think I look silly wearing knee highs w/shorts & I also starting feeling funny not switching up my style a lil. I saw a foto from the 80's of a cholo that looked like he sagging, but maybe he just had his underwear up too high. LOL He even looked like he had on a du-rag or maybe it was a shirt, but you know what I mean.

You do know blacks wore zoot suits before Mexicans? Blacks in east coast cities like New York and Boston were wearing zoot suits at least 10, maybe 20 or 30 years before Mexicans in L.A. wore zoot suits. I think a lot of black musicians in the early and/or mid 1900s, specifically Jazz musicians, wore zoot suits. I think possibly some black hustlers were also often associated with wearing zoot suits.
