Rosco ran up into a Long Beach bar during a monday night football game and started robbing the folk at the bar bacl on Oct. 6, 1986. Brothers Melvin and Kelvin Whiddon were at the end of the bar and when Rosco and his accomplice, David Laupua, got to them, Melvin punched Laupua, then Rosco, who was armed with a 22 rifle shot Melvin in the neck and chest, then shot brother Kelvin in the chest.
Roscoe then shot a person named Bruce Monroe who was at the bar with wife. The two then went for the rear exit, and when leaving, he shot another person, Kenneth Boone in the neck, who was standing along the wall near rear door. A witness later said that Boone didnt say anything and was just standing there.
The brother Melvin who was shot first, staggered out the front door where he died on the side walk of Pacific Avenue in Long Beach. The three other men survived. Rosco, 21, was convicted of the one murder and 3 attempted murders and was sentenced to death.
Roscoe was a Crip from Son Of Samoa and tried to escape from San Quentin with Lil Fee.
