Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
I'm not sure about you guys but I'm not down with this at all. Too many kids are gettin' blasted on by cops because of these fake hand guns commonly sold by the ice cream man. He's just trying to make a buck he dosen't care if these kids are getting popped.
How would you handle the ice cream man in your neighborhood?
Would you say something to him? or is it Oh well... whatever not my problem?

ICE CREAM TRUCKS GET NO LOVE IN THE HOOD.....THE LUCKIEST ONES ARE THE ONES THAT DONT STOP
Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
first and foremost, i'd report the problem to the local police department or community police center.
here, in long beach we have a community relations center and also an anyonymous tip line that backs up their bark. in the past, my neighbors called in on a few tweekers who've been vandalizing my hood while riding bikes and carrying toolboxes - and in one day- the problem was taken care of by the local gang unit that patrolled in my area.
the ice cream trucks that used to rove threw my area once sold - .22 lookalike squirt guns. the neighborhood kids used to paint them black and made them look very authentic. however, all sales of these guns have stopped in my hood due to neighborhood watch meeting complaints and action taken by the long beach police department.
this one good example on what to do..let the peeps that are willing to listen in your hood know too. i'm blessed to have a weekly neighborhood watch and have a department as helpful as the lbpd.

You see...that's the difference between being a supportive person in the community and one whom is part of the problem.
Are you a problem in your community Charles?

Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
kimble, common sense said it in a nutshell in his last reply. for a person who claimed to have started a joke such as the "frazier park gang", i am not going to stoop to your level.

Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
I'm wondering where are these replicas being sold and if it's in the so-called hood then it doesn't surprise me, because I know the plot that is set up for our people. But also, this is another example of how we that live in these communties don't care about what our babies is seeing, because if we was in control of our own communities this sick kind of stuff wouldn't even be allowed to come into our communities. We don't need any police or whoever doing the work that we as men could do for ourselves in these communities. But our minds are on the wrong things like rims, cars, sports, women etc..etc.. while our babies are being slaughtered on these streets. WE HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT IS ALLOWED IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES!!!!

Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
damn i remember when i was little like in the 3rd grade my friends and i would buy those little toy guns from the ice cream trucks and we would even take the orange thing off to make it look real. of course we didnt know how stupid that was back then but i remember their was a couple of kids that lived by my school who got killed for pointing those fake guns at cops. so yeah they probably should stop selling them.

Yea...this is were parenting should step in. Parents/Guardians/Older Siblings explaining to their kids or young ones, the danger of playing with a look a like gun. I believe telling the Ice Cream man, that he is endangering kids lives for a dollar. Maybe he doesn't know. He just trying to get paid.RuthlessBone wrote:damn i remember when i was little like in the 3rd grade my friends and i would buy those little toy guns from the ice cream trucks and we would even take the orange thing off to make it look real. of course we didnt know how stupid that was back then but i remember their was a couple of kids that lived by my school who got killed for pointing those fake guns at cops. so yeah they probably should stop selling them.

Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
their was one ice cream truck that came through my neighborhood alot that actually stoped selling them after he seen that one of my friends had took off the orange thing that shows its a fake toy gun. but that was just one ice cream man out of like 6 or 7 others that passed through who sold the same guns.Common Sense wrote:Yea...this is were parenting should step in. As I always say, our mental has been destroyed, and until we decide that our babies lives are more important than the "things" we chase after, things won't change. I don't believe many will listen, but I know understand why not. Alot of us don't place value on our own lives and even our childrens lives, and until we learn this our communities will only get worse and worse. I mean our babies are bombarded with many negative images in our communities, the fake guns is just one. I see straight porn in some of these liquor stores(which we don't need). I will get some negative responses for my next statement, but oh well.... THIS ENEMY IS SICK TO ALLOW SUCH FILTH TO BE SOLD AND EXPOSED TO OUR YOUTH!!!! YEAH, YEAH, YEAH I KNOW THIS IS AMERIKKKA AND "WE FREE TO DO WHATEVER" AS MOST SAY, BUT AMERIKKKA IS ALSO THE LEADER IN DAMN NEAR EVERY CRIME OR UNGODLY LIKE ACT!!!! I MEAN LOOK AT WHAT OUR BABIES ARE EXPOSED TOO ON A DAILY BASIS!!!! AND SOME OF THE FILTH I'M SPEAKING ON IS RIGHT IN SOME OF OUR HOUSES!!!! WHAT CHANCE DO OUR BABIES HAVE?? LOOK AT THE FASHIONS THAT AMERIKKKA SELL FOR LITTLE GIRLS(AND I MEAN 9 TO THE TEEN AGES) WHAT IS THE PURPOSE FOR EVEN MAKING "REPLICA" GUNS WHEN SO MANY ARE DYING FROM GUN SHOTS. LOOK AT SOME OF THESE VIDEO GAMES!!!! THIS IS AMERIKKKA I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!! I SEE ALL THE BANNERS SAYING "GOD BLESS AMERIKKKA" BUT WHY SHOULD GOD BLESS SOMETHING THAT IS THE TOTAL COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT GOD SAYS?? THIS NATION WILL BE DESTROYED VERY SOON, AND NOONE
CAN'T SAY IT'S NOT, BECAUSE EVERY NATION THAT REBELLED AGAINST GOD'S WORD WAS WIPED OUT COMPLETLY AND SINCE AMERIKKKA IS HUNDREDS TIME WORSE THAN THOSE OLD NATIONS
WHY WON'T GOD DESTROY THIS ONE?? HURRICANE "CHARLEY"
WAS NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT'S COMING!!!!

Re: Ice Cream Trucks Selling Replica Hand Guns??
This is a wonderful idea D.X., but many people in the hood are having a hard time just trying to take care of themselves. I speculate it would be a small minority doing all the work, while a great majority would be supporting the destruction or blocking progress.D.X. wrote: WE HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT IS ALLOWED IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES!!!!

I didn't know about this. I guess this passed in 1999. Trucks near me is still selling though.
LOS ANGELES BANS TOY GUNS FROM ICE CREAM TRUCKS
The City of Los Angeles has reached new heights in advancing politically correct views. They were shocked to discover that ice cream trucks sold inexpensive toys, including toy guns, along with popsicles, but they cannot ban the sale of toy guns under state law. So instead, the City voted to prohibit the trucks from selling non-food items, and now the kids are safe from the menace of playing with these dangerous products. Remember, it's for the children.
