2009 YANKEES

Unread post by AllhoodPublications » December 10th, 2008, 4:58 pm

Are they about to land C.C. Sabathia and AJ Burnett?

Thats a lot of money to shell out.. maybe Pettite should have re-signed, it has all the makings of a Yankee World Series if they get a superior starting rotation.

I heard their payroll is near300 million, dayum!

With their bats, 5 runs per game they should win 100 games easy.

25 for CC..
21 for Burnett..

It appears all they need is a good closer..

However, Boston added Texiera?? Thats huge!

The Yanks signed Pettite..

Thats a pretty good starting rotation that they have.

New York is going to get a lot of wins this season.

when the Yankees were successful 1996 - 2001, they did it with home grown players and a few free agent signers. Jeter, Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, where all from the farm system, then they had David Cone, Boomer Wells, Chuch Knoblach, Tino Martinez, and a bunch of other players I cant remember, bu they never signed a big time player during that period and everything always gelled. Since A-Rod, the guy from the A's that was on steriods, The Big Unit, Johnny Damon who are all great players, they aint won ish. And I dont see how all they free agent acquisitions will take them to the top.

I can, but I can't.

the Red Sox are the better team; but i had high expectations of the Yankees and their pitching staff.

Hahaha I was at the game when the Yanks whooped the Sox 13-6. That started a four game winning streak.

I was in the Yankee bar afterwards (most white people you will ever see together in one place in the Bronx) yelling F*CK BOSTON

Hope this weekend is a good one
