Skip to my Lou v. Jameer Nelson
I think coach Van Gundy of the Orlando Magic made a mistake by allowing Jameer Nelson to play in game 1 & 2 after not being there for several months. Rafer Austin got them there and he should have rolled with Austin and use Jameer sparingly. But I understand that a starter deserves his job back whenever he wants it, but this is the finals, and Van Gundy did the right thing in game 3.
I dont expect to see Jameer in any of the next games for more that 10 minutes per game.

Re: Skip to my Lou v. Jameer Nelson
As a coach- that has to be a 'tough' decision.
I like both Rafer Alston and Jameer Nelson.
Nelson is obviously the better player of the two, and like you said, they got to the Finals with Skip to my Lou.
I don't think Skip to my Lou would have done any better in Los Angeles than Jameer Nelson did, just as Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkolou, and Dwight Howard didn't; it was a road game with an inexperienced team.
Skip had a great game, but dont expect a repeat performance tonight. Orlando is as gassed as Kobe at the end of Game 3. They'll be running on fumes by game 5.
Bynum is a no show, Odom was horrible game 3. Gasol is getting his 20 per game but he's not shooting enough. Him and Odom have to shoot a little more and quit holding the ball. These are two good shooters with absolutely no heart. Kobe cant do it all by himself.

Jameer got plenty of run... he may not have scored much but he made some very significant plays...
Orlando just idn't good enough for the Lakers, kobe is averaging 30 points and 8 assist in a bad series. Imagine that.

Re: Skip to my Lou v. Jameer Nelson
Jameer Lost game 4 for the Magic by giving D Fisher 5 feet cushion to shoot a 3 to time game up. The coach should have just fouled the first Laker with the ball and they still would have a 1 point lead and possession of the ball. Why did Jameer make derrick fisher the MVP?
Re: Skip to my Lou v. Jameer Nelson
No doubt Jameer lost game 4 for the Magic, along with the Fourth Quarter free throw attempts by the Magic. Yea, Jameer looked tired man, wasn’t thinking! The look Tyrone Lue gave him right after that play, when Jameer tried to explain his defense... priceless!
